Always. That's where the terrible comes from. It was bad enough when Pujols, Rolen and Edmonds were setting the world on fire. It's far, far worse to see the Cardinals' Collective Scrubs of the Midwest convention ecking out bloop hits and seeing-eye grounders. -
Brian Barden is a clear MVP candidate.

This is mostly correct, but the team did use it in limited capacities prior to instituting it after home victories in 2007. In particular, I know they used it in the preseason radio pregame intro in 2005; that's the sort of "limited capacities" to which I'm referring, things like intros, promos, commercials and the like.

From what little information about the situation I have, it seems as if the problems might originate with the feed itself and not with MLB's media, i.e. the audio that WGN streams to Gameday Audio is the culprit, as I've read some reports of the audio dropping from the streaming feed during today's game. If this is the case, the feed may not be archived; MLB can't archive a feed they don't have unbroken and in full. I will, certainly, keep you posted. If this game's feed isn't archived, I can likely still get the single HR call from tomorrow's eventual archived feed, since the archives include the pregame shows and 720 usually does the week in review as part of the Sunday pregame.

That the archived feed isn't available yet gives me concern that it may not be at all, which wouldn't be the first time that was the case this season. Stay tuned.
