They still owe Rudy a fair bit of money (completely independent of how inconsequential the actual hitting coach is, overall) and as you said, Larry is not only well-respected in his position, but he's entrenched there as well, and one would think there isn't going to be a huge turnover among the pitching staff for 2011. Pursuant to all that, I would think any of their managerial candidates, especially Sandberg, will be told one or possibly even both of them come with the job.
