well i'd prefer no rainout since i am so pissed off about the loss yesterday, but bullpen status i say let's have the rainout. one stat not mentioned on the first page. Cubs are 1-0 when scoring 16 runs in a game...0-1 when the opponent does it. geez Rusch needs to OD on chocolate syrup so i don't have to see him on the mound ever again
I just love the heart of this team...it almost seems like the youngsters are pumping life into the veterans. Plus, leading the league through 20 games with 4 comeback wins is saweet
all i know is that I am very pleased not so much with the 12-8 start as I am with the 9 game stretch record. I read that going 5-4 every 9 games(I don't know if it was on here or cubs.com) puts a team at 90-72. So if the cubs just break the schedule down to 18 9-game stretches and they play 1 game over each time that will be great. they are 1 game ahead of the pace so i'm happy. GO CUBS!
The exciting thing about these comebacks are the way the team is learning how to just get on base....against the cards they took walks to load the bases for Barrett, then last night Cedeno and Walker take walks to again load the bases. Last year's team goes up there hacking and we never have a chance to put any pressure on them
well, i'm takin credit because i was scratching my head, with my legs crossed a certain way, plus i clapped the same amount of times after each walk....it's as simple as that
