If the Cubs win today, they'll be 6.5 back, not 5.5. Better than 8.5 back. I know that, I was just correcting him. no i kno they will be 6.5 back...im saying if you win today and win the other series against the brewers later you only have to worry about pickin up 5.5 games against other teams

dude there are no more day offs until the all star break i think...they have 4 at DC and 3 at Pitt...but that doesnt matter you worry about them going 6 or 7 against the nationals tomorrow...you need to do everything you can to win this game...i mean its the closest to a must win you're gonna get for july 1st

yea all that talk about momentum gone if we win this series is ridiculous....i mean they weren't gonna sweep this seris, imo...they needed to just win the series and win the other series because then they can just worry about pickin up 5.5 games somewhere else the rest of the way. so dammit cubs....WIN THE SERIES Please be in April form Marquis.....PLEASE

I already go to church on Sundays, so that's 1. me too, chalk another up I've tried it. I'm a minister. Trust me it doesn't work. He's just not a Cubs fan. see maybe cuz you are a minister he just expects you to do the church thing...i mean he prolly is salivating at obsessed cub fan non church goers goin that he his allowing them to stage a fake rally season :lol:

I've watched the 9th inning 4 times already today. Only 4? Pshaw. I've got ya beat by about 10. my girlfriends son rewound and played the HR about 20 times right after it happened. unfortunately one time he rewound into the bottom of the ninth and pressed ok when the DVR said "this will stop the recording." so now I have the whole game up until Howry having two outs. i feel your pain...i ran outta tape cuz i messed up the vcr (man i miss my days of dvr at school) against the white sox on sunday....but tomorrow im covering all areas to watch this one after work

eh, i dont give him too many props because he wasnt doin hardly any celebrating on Monday night when the cubs had that walkoff....he just kinda stood there and was walkin out to the crowd with soriano...

My "Believe" bracelet is still laying on my dresser - wonder if I should break it out? Nah........................ hahaha....in a very odd coincidence mine has been on my wrist since the last walkoff homer for the cubs.....which to a lot of teams isnt long but for them its over 2 years....im surprised it hasn't ripped yet cuz its all faded, but hey...cubs have a chance cuz they havent done what previous teams have done....had more than one losing streak that was prolonged.... i think in 2005 they had like a 7 and 8 game losing streak...and we all know what happened last year. This years team has avoided that for the most part only having a 6 game losing streak, plus a year ago today the cubs were 20 under so ill take .500 for today haha

root for the padres cuz the cubs dont play them anymore and lost the season series...at least they got three more against the dodgers at wrigley BTW...THE BREWERS LOST TODAY :lol: :lol:

The cubs will win the world series and you will still be pessimistic because they won't win for another 100 years. With that said, I can't tell whether you're pessimistic or cautiously optimistic. I figured the 2nd one, but since you're generally pessimistic, I decided to respond. :D Just like me and a bunch of other guys, he's been saying basically the exact same thing on every thread during this streak. You don't mess with what's working. exactly....that is all

beat him up in milwaukee the first week of the year when he came off his opening day shutout of LA and got to him a little bit in Chicago before he tweaked his groin....so i wouldn't be afraid of Sheets...unfortunately i have to work and am goin to tape it (god i miss my DVR) and watch it after work

plus, estrada is makin no effort to frame the pitches...he just blatantly yanks it back to the middle of the plate and its a strike

I know this seems oozing with bias, but I genuinely think the Cubs have gotten the big time short end of the stick. The Brewers zone hasn't been all that inconsistent. actually i think so too...i just home from work but in a small sample there were pitches to pie that were strikes that were balls to graffanino...plus floyd got some bad calls too

but can lou get to the NLCS in his first year and hopefully beyond....i sure hope so..a win tomorrow will be a baby step in the right direction go cubs...man, im so pumped and nervous about this series...it feels like late 2004...i hope the results aren't the same
