As bad as Barrett has been, I don't see any better options in our system or free agency. I'd rather see a tandem of Blanco and Soto. Barrett is less than worthless. He is actively hurting the team.
If his prospective stardom seems to suffer in comparison to Rich Hill's, the guy's still a lefty with a high-velocity sinker and good curve, and as fifth starters go, he's still pretty promising. LOL!
I think we should stop referring to the Cubs as a "team". "Team" implies some sort of common objective. Unless we're talking about getting the game over quickly so they can drive down to Tijuana, the Cubs have no such common goal.
