    Holding on too long to prosects is like... standard protocol for the cubs so I guess it's cool to get value while you can. I just got a knot in my butt about giving up too early on a player that might be special. Blahh... gotta give to get. I just wanna "Get" sometimes without giving up a lot. Color me greedy. Long run, maybe the majority is right and Colvin really is nothing to give up.

    What's "WRONG" with Colvin that makes so many people cool with throwing him in? I mean... it seems like some here would discard him without a second thought. Looking at his numbers, he looks like a good prospect. I'm not all that excited about trading away strong potential for a minor upgrade at 2nd base. Maybe I'm off base on his potential. Help me understand. I confess to not being the baseball scholars you guys are, so please educate me.

    Color me corrected. Jeezz I completely forgot about Cano. Cano>Roberts (Younger, better average, more power, cheaper and already on the team). You win.

    This deal feels very much like a lot of people jumped the gun on calling this a done deal. Wouldn't be surprised to see Roberts traded, but not to the cubs. Surprised the Red Sox or the Yankees haven't jumped on him. An Arod/Jeter/Roberts collection would be an amazing 3rd, SS, 2nd base combo. Wouldn't matter whose on first.

    I'm for the Roberts deal, just not 100% comfy with what we're giving up (Mostly Gallagher). Would feel a lot better if Roberts played SS with the same kind of glove he plays 2nd.

    In Dusty we busty. In Niella we Faila? I was against it from day one, but I'm a cub fan, so I owe it to the guy to give him a shot. It's not like we we're tearing it up before him.

    If this is true, then something smells. Somebody is/has been lying. No way they do this deal and not do the Prior deal. I'm starting to think Prior was never on the table. That, or this rumor is completely untrue.

    D@Mn this.... If I'm trading Prior, then I want A-rod or something real in exchange for him. COme on... Tejada isn't enough and tossing in some second rate pitcher isn't going to make the deal any better. Trading Prior for ANYTHING less than equal value would be foolish. If Hendry does this, then he is a jack a$$ and I hope his penis shrinks because of it.
