  1. Can't have three lefties in the rotation, dude. Maybe they'll try to fix Hill by making him throw with his right hand and it will turn out that he's even better as a righty. Played with a guy in HS who could throw 90+ either hand for strikes. He'd get tired, switch gloves. True story.
  2. According to Brennaman, testing hasn't been done yet....
  3. Take away Day one & Fuku's numbers aren't very good from the 5 hole. Hear that Lou?
  4. And he's an L 7 weinie..yeah yeah a Dodger Dog even
  5. You missed Adam Dunn, Joey Votto, Paul Bako, and Jerry Hairston hitting home runs in the 2nd inning No I heard those on XM, I didn't know that everyone who has ever played for the Reds went yard as well though. You must be listening to a different game, lol Dusty is currently contacting the agents of Neifi Perez, Jose Macias, Jason Dubois, Alex Gonzalez, Phil Nevin, David Kelton, Jeromy Burnitz, Damien Miller, and every other out of work piece of crap who played for him with the Cubs. Too young, gotta have the proven vets get time...Dude.

With the way Lieber was pitching, even the fans were itching for a chance to get some ABs against him. All 12 of them? And 9 of those were Cubs fans...

You must be listening to a different game, lol The only real surprises there are Dunn and Votto right? You gotta expect it from the other guys. Oh and someone being on in front of someone else who goes yard? That was weird, too.

  9. Just checked in, and without reading the whole thread, I think everyone is nuts. Obviously I missed something.
  10. Stupid, isn't it? Here's the TV schedule for the Cubs/Padres series: Game 1: CSN Game 2: CSN Game 3: WCIU Game 4: CSN A 4-game series, and not a single one is on WGN? BS Man, now I am mad about that too. Couldn't you just have let me find out about that one when we got there?
  11. I hate TV. All three games haven't been on WGN. More Reds Radio via XM I guess
  12. Isn't he a head case? I'm not sure, maybe I'm just making stuff up. I think he has been, but so was Z. Yeah but Z has never gotten into a drunken altercation with a police officer resulting in a DUI, bruised face and a night in the joint! Oh wow, I didn't realize he was that bad. Yeah that could be a problem, but i am betting the Marlins are happy they didn't worry about the Brewers owning lefties. Yep. I know lots of kids that went to high school with him (Crystal Lake South) and they said he was always a real D%&k. So was Josh Beckett in HS. I'd take him though. Olsen...ehhh
  13. Nitpicking, but it seems Lee is really struggling with the glove this year.
  14. I got the Cubs greatest games boxed set for Christmas...just finished watching this game. Again. Wicked.
  15. With a 1.000+ OPS against Harang? Doubt it. Maybe he gets back on track.
  16. He'd pull a 1984 Rick Suttcliffe if this happened. Agreed. They'd inject him with some Pixie Dust or something...
  17. I just hope Ram will play tonight. per suntimes: Why do I get the feeling that another X-Ray will produce a small hair-line fracture?[/ Because that is more noticeable since the swelling has gone down. (That's what she said)And very likely.
  18. First game thread post since my computer was brought back to life--Go Cubs
  19. And now, for something completely different...(and by different I mean she was legal age): http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8094080?MSNHPHMA

Haha, Foxsports.com has the Brew Crew 6th and the Cubs 8th in power rankings...further proof that they are clueless, their fantasy advice this week? Pick up Theriot because he can steal bases...WOW! I could be a writer for them. I guess so could my 8 yr old for that matter.
  21. I have a Sandberg poster, circa 1994ish that has that title
  22. more details needed. tv size, drinks available at home, snacks, presence of wife, etc. 52" flat screen hd. All sorts of wine, beer and booze. I think there's water and milk somewhere too. Wife's arrival time depends on how busy she is today, probably a bit before gametime (same as me). If she's home by first pitch she will most likely want to make a good dinner. My guess is I'm going to get home before her, and therefore get dog walking duty. I'll dvr the start of the game in case I don't get back in time, then fast forward up to real time. Luckily the pooch spent all weekend wrestling other pooches and will be fine with a shorter-than-usual walk. 65" HD. All sorts of wine and beer, plus the pause button. Wife is gone, so I have the kids by myself; most likely milk and tea until about 8:30. Then the wine and beer! Lets see a good performance Ladies!
  23. He should be at least an .800 OPS guy that plays superb defense, I can't imagine why anyone would want to get him at bats. That is dangerous sentence structure there.
