    You can't make this stuff up. While that statement is ridiculous, and wins are the least important stat IMO...it would be easy to make an argument about Livan simply because he is such a horse. I'd love to have him in our rotation because it seems like he gets the ball and goes 7+ innings every game. He is extremely consistant and a pretty darn good pitcher too. That said...he wouldn't be my choice, but I would be able to listen to that argument supporting Livan.

    Well, it's ok. I would like to not have to see Perez, and I don't know about Barrett, but overall...I guess it could have been much worse. Who would have pictured this lineup at the ASB back in March? :?

    After watching Nomar's interview just now...I really hope he can give us a boost this year. It seems like he truly likes it here and I see no reason we can't sign him to another cheap 1 year deal with Cedeno as the backup.

    While I like the fact that Dusty finally changed the top of the order I would have liked to see Patterson face Drese today. Drese only has 27 Ks in 88.2 IP, something would have had to give. On a side note...isn't there any way we can DL Corey and have him make a few "rehab" starts in AAA? I can't help but root for the kid.

    Sporting the Leyden sweatshirt. :) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LEYDEN BABY!!! Z's a staple at the pizza joint in Franklin Park called "Grand Stand." FP's an awesome place, wonder if Z's got a relative or something that goes there. You all should stop by Grand Stand and wait til Z arrives. Its fun times so I hear. The announcer said that Z is good friends with the baseball coach at Leyden. I may have to go to a game this season when the Cubs are off and see if Z decides to show up then :D. Our pitching coach spent some time in the Seattle Organization as well as playing ball at IU. I'm wondering if that's the coach that Z knows :-k. Edited sidenote: they may have shown Z also because Tom Dore is from Leyden as well. Wasn't watching the game, so don't know if Dore made any kind of mention in regards to his HS alma mater. Dore didn't say that but he did say that Z is a big fan of the baseball team. We play Leyden on May 21st...unfortunately the Cubs will be playing the Sox at that time :(

    But I did reference the episode. Making the picture was a good idea, though. Thanks. That picture was great. I was actually reminded of this scenario while watching the game, unfortunately it didn't turn out the same way. I was hoping Macias would get drilled in the melon as well, but he didn't. Anyway...is there a larger version of that picture, I set it up as my wallpaper but it's a little stretched.

    Just got 6 bleachers for Mother's Day against the Phils. I got my present!

    Just keep submitting it. It took me about 10 tries and each time it turned out that they didn't have those tickets anyway, so I eventually got some crummy ones, but I submitted about 30-40 times.

    Finally got through. I got 4 tickets to the Cards game on Thurs August, 11 at 1:20. Hopefully I'll be able to go that day. Unfortunately they're section 515. Oh well, at least I'll be there.

    I just got home, I had a great time. I got a picture taken with Prior and then later I saw Hendry so I took one with him too while I was telling him how he's got my dream job and I appreciate the way he handles his business by trying to keep it hush-hush. I saw the first half hour or so of the Sandberg thing at 2:30. That was cool. Frye and Zimmer both seemed to get pretty choked up when talking about the guy. Brenly also seemed pretty at ease with the whole organization and was even crackin' a few jokes.

I did such a great job too! I'll have to fix it tomorrow.

    This contest is awesome! I participated in one last year and I was looking for it all day. I was going to come on here to see if anyone knew where I could find it, but you've got your own...and it's better! Keep up the good work! I can't submit yet because there are about 10 guys I have absolutely no idea where they will end up.
