  1. I think it's 28 because Miller hasn't been DL'd, or sent to a minor league camp so he's still technically on the team, but yes it's essentially 2 guys need to be sent down. I think Novoa goes down simply because he doesn't have the arm strenght right now. I'm guessing that they are waiting to see how williams does if he struggles, then Marshall will start and Williams to the pen. If not Marshall will go down and be looked at as a 5th starter candidate when needed.
  2. He should really have his own blog if he promises to limit the time on his computer. That's from the latest Cubs.com article. Apparently Angel stays at his house at times. that would be awesome. "Today I pitch pretty good against the Cardinals, one of them got a hit. Ok gotta go make something to eat."
  3. jon always with the awesome Z quotes!
  4. He pitched poorly that game. In fact, Victor outpitched him. Wasn't that the day that the defense was horrible, actually that migh thave been the Rich Hill game of that series, one of the days in NY the defense was just ridiculous. V. Zambrano was helped by swing happy cub hitters.
  5. in Carlos' defense his team was playing like a really bad grade school girls softball team that day
  6. BRANDON WOOD???... please?
  7. bold prediction. wood = comeback player of the year. not so bold prediction. up and down the dl. i'll hope for one, not be surprised at the other.
  8. maybe he'll take Ankiel, he can try to convince him to 'switch' positions back to pitcher.
  9. yeah must suck to have 2 WS trophies in my lifetime.
  10. hooray for Wuertz with an nice clean inning.
  11. Anybody know if there are any players worth watching for University Of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).... my window looks out towards their field from Right field (wrigley style), and it's free to go so I'll probably be seeing alot of games.
  12. saved, using Dusty's definiton of the word.
  13. hey Jon, where is that carlos quote from, is it new?
  14. Z got thrown out of opening day, after he was removed by Dusty, for telling the umpire he needed glasses, and he was thrown out of a game in late April against the Reds for throwing behind a guy (he didn't have good stuff at all that night, and I believe adam dunn had just taken him deep). So twice in the opening month and never again after that.
  15. I'm sure that Fred can pull those up :)... I seem to also recall these numbers, I believe he's a much more patient hitter when up towards the middle of the lineup as well.

  22. I don't understand why people are still upset about Giles, to believe that he was truly available to any team but SD is not likely. All they needed to do was give hum a respectable offer and he was going to take it.
  23. No audio No video - just Bruce-io but he just left :(
