    well I feel even worse for missing this :( We'll have to get the locals together for opening day, it's going to be my last semester in college and who know what I'll be doing after that.

    FYI, Ken Rosenthal isn't just "some writer". I can't remember the last time he was wrong and pretty much all season long hes scooped everybody to every story. I pray to Len hes wrong, but Ken deserves all the credibility in the world. Didn't one of his articles about Aramis going to free agency spark the huge ledge jumping thread this past offseason.... while he did technically become a free agent, it was only for an hour or two. Not trying to take any credibility away from him, but he's been known to mislead us before so just holding out hope.

    Doesn't Boras know about MLB's blackout restrictions?? :lol: Isn't he claiming that random A-rod fan in Miami would subscribe to say the LA sports channel to watch A-Rod games. Which wouldn't work. The only thing random Miami fan would subscribe to would be MLB Extra Innings which doesn't help the team he signs for any more than it would if he signed anywhere else.

    Alex understands the situation with the Cubs ownership, but really wants to play for Lou Piniella again so he signs for 1 million dollars for 1 year till an extension can be negotiated when ownership is finalized.... :bluekoolaid: :lol:

    He's officially winding down on another "choke", so where will he sign? I think he'll get a new contract with the Yankees. I just can't think of anyone else that will be able to pay him what he'll want.
