I could be way off, but I feel like even if Mitch was playing fine/good to great all season a higher end backup would be brought in for next year no matter what with Daniel's contract is up, you don't need an expert in the playbook as the backup anymore and with Mitch missing time in each of the last two seasons and with his style of play (when he runs like last night). A strong finish by Mitch might keep them from a 2nd round QB, which might not be a bad thing.

what would be the bigger gut punch win out and still miss the playoffs beat GB and KC then have a win and in against the Vikings and lose? Don't think either are likely, but it feels like one of those is the way this season would end.

I like getting a variety. I think this jersey would have looked better with last years color scheme, and last years Chicago flag theme would look better with this years color scheme. Semi-related - I hope that with Nike taking over MLB uniforms that they move players weekend uniforms to more like the NBA City Edition with them being different for each team.

Something fun to think about, Jerry Reinsdorf (owner of two sports franchises), hasn't fired the person in charge of either in over 20 years. Since 2000 the White Sox have won their division 3 times with 1 World Series Championship and the Bulls have won their division 2 times.

I'm pretty sure there are quotes from Bryant himself saying he's open to an extension, if I recall correctly he also pushed back on the 'Boras guys don't sign extensions' assumption stating that he was the boss. -
