  1. We still have to take care of buisness first anyways. That Penn State game is a match up nightmare for us. Then we have to play Iowa there for their senior night. We do have a week to prep for it though, and we have won 2 of 3 from them there. That said I want to win at PSU just in case. Then we need to win a game at least in the BTT to eliminate ourselves from the bubble. We need 2 of 3. I think Illinois will make it, but they're going to need help. Teams like Butler and Memphis need to win their conferences. And Illnois better hope that lower seeded teams in the Big East and ACC don't go far in their conference tourneys. Cause those two conferences are going to just gobble up tourney bids either way. But if you add some of these lower bubble teams in there, they could take over half the bracket.
  2. And just for the record, the big ten will not get 2 number 1 seeds. If they do, I'll eat crow, but there is no way they deserve it. Ohio State hasn't really beaten anyone good enough to deserve a number 1 seed. They're biggest win was against the #20 team in the country. Every other power conference has at least one, in some cases two teams I'd put ahead of OSU come tourney time.
  3. Someone brought up the point of Illinois' quality losses. What hurts them, is many of those losses came to bubble teams. Yeah, they look decent on a resume, until you put that resume up against the other bubble teams. If I'm trying to decide between team A and team B with similar resumes, yet team A beat team B, I think we know who's getting in.
  4. I know, I'm more shocked that he looks that skinny/small in those pictures. For a guy with an arm like his, he looks like a stick.
  5. http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070220/capt.azet11202202042.mariners_spring_baseball_azet112.jpg http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070220/capt.azet11302202043.mariners_spring_baseball_azet113.jpg Wow, just wow.

  7. Wow, LSU was up that much and they're playing without Davis?
  8. Fixed
  9. You might not be far off. They didn't even seem like they cared tonight. That one play where they just didn't get back on defense was disgusting. Congrats to ND fans though, you guys were on fire.
  10. I don't trust those two with fire. They'll both probably suffer 3rd degree burns and miss most of the season.
  11. Wow, hello NIT.
  12. Yeah, I can't believe how some of these shots aren't falling. They're also throwing up airballs too, so who knows.
  13. Ugly game by DePaul so far. You don't want to get down this much on the road. ND is just out- hustling DePaul in every way.
  14. Wow, I'd completely forgot that Gene Cross was now an assistant at Notre Dame. He coached at DePaul for a while. He's a real nice guy.
  15. They're not a lock, but they're definitely in good shape going in. The only thing that would really hurt them if they lost tonight is how they'd matchup against a team like DePaul's resume. If they won tonight, DePaul would have swept ND on the season, and improved their conference record. They have cupcakes left on their schedule after ND, and could very well finish 10-6 in conference. So DePaul would have a better conference record, would have completed a season sweep, and have major wins over Kansas, Marquette, and ND twice. All that hinges on them winning out though.
  16. Looks like Bradley is about to get a good player. If you're referring to Smith, I think there's a better chance that the Illinois Department of Corrections might have gotten a good player, not Bradley. They are both probational offenses.I would not be so sure of that. From ESPN: Someone convicted of either might get probation. He's being charged with both. He still might get probation, but I would not be completely shocked to see him go to jail for at least a little while.
  17. Looks like Bradley is about to get a good player. If you're referring to Smith, I think there's a better chance that the Illinois Department of Corrections might have gotten a good player, not Bradley.
  18. Hopefully you're right. I'll be busting out my Leprechaun Legion T-shirt (that's the clever name for ND's student section) and backwards ND green hat, as I do for all ND national telecasts. Actually, hopefully I'm wrong. Notre Dame is more than likely tournament bound. DePaul needs to play their way in by not losing anymore regular season games (and possibly doing well in the Big East tourney) Help a brother out!
  19. Big one tonight Andy. I'll be decked out in my DePaul track and field warm up jacket that I was supposed to return after my final meet. :-$ But even I must admit, I have a bad feeling going into this one. We barely beat you at home in a game that could've gone either way at the end. I don't see the Blue Demons fairing well in South Bend.
  20. I know a link has already been posted, but it just hit ESPN's website too. (Smith being charged with serious crimes.) http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2772512 From reading that, he could be in a lot of trouble. He left the scene because he thought his teammate was dead. That will not look good in court.
  21. Yeah, I'll be at the saturday game. Pissed I'm gonna miss that pitching matchup. We got 35 group tickets. We're right on the lowest level by first base. Should be a good time. We go every year with a busload of guys, but last year the Cubs were so far out of it when we went that it wasn't as fun as it should've been.
  22. I didn't think it was Wuertz, but it does resemble Eyre http://espn-ak.starwave.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/5869.jpg Either way, it's good to see the guys laughing instead of on crutches. EDIT: Now that I look at it closer, it does look more like Miller than anyone else. But I thought I saw him on the news with no facial hair yesterday. I was probably wrong though.
  23. Wade Miller Is that what the caption says? Yup. I'm not sure that's Miller. They showed him throwing on the news last night, and he looked to have short hair, and no facial hair. I could be wrong though.
  24. Big one tomorrow. ND is trying to not lose their tourney spot, and DePaul is trying to play it's way into one. The Drive to 65 section on ESPN is finally back to including DePaul as a team with work left to do. So they are now probably at the bottom of the list of bubble teams, and pretty much cannot lose anymore.
  25. I was thinking the same thing. He has that, "Aw, come on guys, let me play!" look on his face.
