  1. Fukudome rolls to first, Volquez covered the bag. 2 out.
  2. Everyone slumps. I'm not worried. He'll right himself eventually.
  3. No, ronny was there yesterday and sounded like crap then too. He actually sounds better today. I would have liked to hear yesterday's game, but I missed the entire thing due to a "beverage servers" class I had to take for work.
  4. Ronny missed yesterday's game? He sounds like hell.
  5. When is Lou going to move Fukudome to 2nd and Soto up to 5th?
  6. Isn't Johnson something like 13-0 against us lifetime? he's only 12-0, but that all happened before he turned 73 Oh. Well that makes it so much better. Randy Johnson really could be 73 pitching against the Cubs and he'd still scare me with his history against us.
  7. Isn't Johnson something like 13-0 against us lifetime?
  8. Arizona scares me. They always give us fits, even when they were lousy. Now that they're the best team in baseball, I'll be praying we can find a way to avoid a sweep. I hope Lieber pitches well. Lets see shades of 2001 Lieber today!
  9. There was a time years ago where if I were an opposing manager, I'd have intentionally walked the first 3 batters of every inning. I doubt the Cubs would have scored 3 runs a game under this scenario.
  10. This game will be shown to my future kid once he/she is old enough to understand baseball. I have been, and will forever be a Kerry Wood fan simply because of this game. I hope he gets it together and becomes the most dominant closer in baseball the next few years.
  11. Clever. Your second verse has 8 syllables though D'oh!
  12. Man, I'd have given anything to be at that game. I was a junior in high school on that day, so I didn't get home from school until about the 6th inning, but I had Pat and Ron on the radio and instantly turned the game on because I just had that feeling it was going to be special. I always catch the game when it's on ESPN classic. Good lord what stuff Kerry had. Too bad he never panned out like we thought he would. :(
  13. He'd pull a 1984 Rick Suttcliffe if this happened.
