I don't see how he can pause just like Rich did last year but it wasn't ok for Rich to do. I don't care what a pitcher's velocity or windup is, just so long as he can get people out and not blow out his shoulder or elbow.

Until he proves that he can hit ANYTHING else, it's pretty crazy to throw him a FB anywhere near the zone. I might try and throw some really high fastballs out of the zone when I'm ahead in the count, but that would be it. Nahhh...if you can get him out consistently without throwing that, why chance it? If you HAVE to throw a FB, throw it out of the zone.
