It is low-risk performance-wise. That doesn't make it less stupid. actually, it does. you see, low-risk means "little risk". Tossing Felix Pie to the minor leagues when we know exactly what will happen with him down there is stupid. I don't care how little risk is involved. well, then, to you, it's "high-risk". The risk of screwing up the development of our #1 prospect by keeping him in AAA when he can't really benefit from it anymore far outweighs a few weeks of Jim Edmonds possibly being bad. so, pie is going to get more screwed up playing everyday at iowa than by sitting everyday in chicago? makes sense, i guess. No, I'd rather him play every day. But if he puts up number like he did last time, he didn't really learn much, did he? At best it's stunting or delaying his development. At worst it screws him up.
