  1. 2-1 isn't a terrible game thread record.
  2. I'll bet you 100 million fake internet dollars we don't.
  3. Z says he's fine, which is good enough for Lou. Of course he's going to say he's fine. His arm could be a bloody stump and he'd want to finish the inning. Moron.
  4. E-6 on Theriot. They're loaded for Kemp. Z is done. Completely done. Kemp is gonna do something bad here.
  5. Then you shouldn't be that frustrated tonight. Lowe hasn't been good this year.
  6. I love how the team has played at most points this year, but the thing that frustrates me the most is getting shut out and dominated by crappy pitchers. Some things never change.
  7. Good to see that he turned his life around. I'm rooting for him. And he's putting up some SICK numbers this year. He could have 100 RBI by the break.
  8. Patterson was demoted (with DuBois) once when Murton and Greenberg got called up. And Hendry kept giving Dusty MORE toys. Dusty was an idiot, sure, but Hendry was just as much to blame for Neifi, Macias, Izturis, Patterson, Bynum, Ordonez, etc.
  9. I have no problems with DeRosa on this team. His versatility is his greatest asset, but it doesn't hurt that he's having such a good season at the plate thus far. When he first signed I thought he was overpaid, and I know there was a lot of disdain here for another bad Hendry contract. But he's earned every penny.
  10. Do you really want Soriano's and Beltran's contracts on this team?
  11. I could live with the occasional mistake if they didn't have such massive superiority complexes and were consistent with calls.
  12. The Cubs go for the sweep against the Dodgers. Sean Gallagher looked good in picking up his second win, and maybe a rotation spot isn't too far behind. As promised, after 2 wins, they have been upgraded to the Cubs. On this day, we have Derek Lowe, http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/5801.jpg 2-5, 5.03 ERA, 1.45 WHIP vs. Carlos "God" Zambrano http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/6559.jpg 7-1, 2.47 ERA, 1.18 WHIP If anyone can get us a sweep, it's Big Z. Let's go Cubs! 11 games over .500 sounds mighty nice.
  13. This is why Pie struggling like mad is more frustrating. I know Geo turned out well, but when will our "can't miss" position prospects pan out. There is no such thing as a "can't miss" prospect.
  14. They certainly have the pieces there. They have a good pitching staff with Harang, Cueto, and Volquez, and they can slug with the best of them. They just need a few pieces here and there and a manager that isn't a moron and they could be very good.
  15. Out of the inning! 6-4 FC! I'm sorry I doubted you, Marmol! Lee should be the pitching coach from now on. Whatever he said to Marmol worked.
  16. Who didn't see this coming? Fight like hell to score 3 runs, then your best reliever implodes and gives some right back.
  17. What kind of shift? The outfielders take 30 steps in and the infielders sit down?
  18. Haha. Lasorda sounding like a bitter old man in the booth with Pat and Ron. Stay off his lawn.
  19. Fuku walks. The hit-and-run was on. Knock it the F off, Lou.
