  1. Can we stop giving up leadoff doubles, please? One of them is going to score eventually.
  2. Soriano flies out on the first pitch. He's having an awesome past 24 hours.
  3. Haha, Pierre caught in a rundown trying to get greedy on in INF single by Kent. 3 out.
  4. Any word on if Pierre got that "Wiggly Feel" when he entered the ballpark this afternoon?
  5. Ball 4 to Pierre. That's not good. He may not be able to hit, but he can steal bases.
  6. How can you...... uh........ on second thought,..... I don't want to know. Ha! I just realized my blunder now.
  7. Brant Brown II: Electric Boogaloo "Fly ball to left! Soriano is back... He's waiting... he's got-- HE DROPPED THE BALL!" "OH NOOOOO" "HE DROPPED THE BALL... and the tying run scores." I was driving home for lunch when this happened. This caused me to pretty much scream profanity and almost rear-end the car behind me. I hate you, Soriano.
  8. Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Making my Game Thread debut here. They're the losers right now. If they win, tomorrow I'll upgrade them to Cobs, and then if they win 3 in a row, they're back to the Cubs again. That series in Pittsburgh was brutal. Let's knock that crap off, shall we? For the Dodgers, we have the grinning doofus, Chad Billingsley http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/7705.jpg 4-5, 3.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP vs. The man, the myth, the legend... the one and only Ryan Dempster http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/6006.jpg 5-2, 2.70 ERA, 1.06 WHIP Please don't be Dumpster. Go Cubs.
  9. All he needs to do... ALL he needs to do, is catch a routine fly ball that he's caught 1,000 times before, and we're all celebrating. Yes, he hit the 2-run homer, but he also cost us the game, so that cancels out, don't you think? 2 runs > 1 run If you want to look at it that way, fine, but then who would you pin today's loss on? Hrmm?

  11. It seems like we always lose a close game or two right after a huge offensive output. This team is not built for October. It's just not.
