I have nothing to back that up and it's just my own personal experience. They have had some exceptionally bad luck the last 40-ish years or so, and I'm not just talking about W-L records either. People know what I'm talking about. And yes, there have been other teams that have had bad luck too (see: Red Sox, Boston). I fully admit that, but none anywhere near on the level of the Cubs. Thank you again, Fred, for actually posting stats and facts to back up your argument. I have a ton of respect for that. The Cubs are nowhere near the worst franchise of all time. I will admit that.

To do so would require you point out some kind of previous "winner" of worst week ever and then showing how the Cubs' week was worst. You did nothing of the sort. How many teams managed by Jim Riggleman had a week as bad as Lou's team?? I will need to see a side by side chart comparison of futility records broken before I can proceed.
