    The Cubs have to offer Arbitration to Harden now, right? They can't seriously believe that no one will sign him as a B free agent, can they?

    I'd like to see two leagues, no divisions. Top 4 records make the playoffs. Move Arizona to the AL, have all teams play 11 games against their league, one interleague rival series (2 games each location), and two interleague series (2 games each location) against the team that finished in the same position the prior season. Home and away 4 game series with the rival could work also. I'd be ok if they just had 11 games against league teams and shortened the season too. I guess you could add two more teams and add 3 games to the season as well.

    Yes, by the Twins. A deal was not worked out. Why wouldn't they trade him if they are not planning to offer arbitration?

    That graphic is awesome. Who is the batter in there, it's hard to make out the last name. I've been wondering that all morning. Looks like it says P. Reese. I was wondering the same thing. Makes me laugh every time.

    Joe Carter, Dave Otto, Joe Morgan, Buck and McCarver, Hawk Harrelson... The whole Nats TV team can go on that list. Brutal. I had to listen to them for one of the games of the Cubs series.

    Yeah, if the Marlins shot down an offer that included Sanchez, we probably couldn't hope to come close unless we included Vitters - and that would be awful. As for Durham, I wouldn't have a problem with Scales at second and Fontenot at third until Durham was ready. If he just needs a couple weeks, we can survive until then. But Branyan would probably be the best and most realistic option - if he's available, that is. Sean Marshall is better than Sanchez.

    I agree: there is actually some funny stuff over there. But some internet meme should stay on the internet.     I doubt Lee would want to play in San Diego in a contract year. He has a no trade clause. No way that deal could happen. He is from Cali though so you never know. Although I believe he was upstate a bit in Sacramento. San Diego is as close to Sacramento as Chicago is to Toronto. :blink:

    He got busted on a non-analytical positive for hCG, after previously failing a test for artificial testosterone. MLB wasn't sure it could get the suspension to stick if they went after whatever he used to boost his testosterone. The suspension is the same for either, so they went with the one he couldn't fight.
