  1. this statement is so far from true i dont know where to beginI really hope you don't think I was serious. :? i didnt, its just fun to jab at Dusty
  2. didnt this happen last night too? or am i imagining things? it happens almost everytime Matt gets a start Is it that big of deal in a blowout? Getting Pagain some time isn't that bad of an idea. Murton has been in the pretty much everyday and playing well lately. I don't think him missing out on one AB is going to ruin him. i'd rather see him going in for jones or JP, murt needs the playing time...and didnt Pagan drop a ball on his first chance last night?

  6. June 28. thanks, havent been following the team too closely this season, im still mostly trying to figure out how Dusty is still in the dugout, i'd pay for alot for those seats he gets for every game, and probably do more good for the team than that tool
  7. when did Williamson come off the DL?
  8. comparing the Cubs with a weiner seems about right
  9. I wonder if Dusty can connect the dots? LMAO
  10. It's the Cubs. so glad that i traded my cubs addiction in for an addiction to WoW this season
  11. so just so i have this str8, Wood out for the year with a torn rotator cuff and Prior headed to the DL with a strained oblique...is it May?
  12. You might want to check Baseball Discussions. this is gonna hurt isnt it? A lot. oh joy

  14. ok, i came late, but wasnt Prior supposed to start today?
  15. 84 at the end of 6 likely no to make it all 9, if he does, it'll be 120 pitch game NO way he comes out with a no-hitter because of pitch count unless it's 130+. Even then it's not a gimme. Didn't Kerry Wood get into the 140's in 2003? I know he pitched in the 130's before. Hate to say anything, but theres no shame in a combined no-hitter. I'd love to see one on the North Side This will be the jinx, btw. no the jinx is that i woje up and turned on the TV
  16. Indeed. And, furthermore, you sprain a ligament and strain a muscle. Either a strain or a sprain involves tearing of the muscle or ligament involved. Sprain your ankle? You likely have a tear, perhaps even a complete one, in your anterior talofibular ligament. And in six weeks, you'll be running. How long does it take to recover from a shoulder strain/tear? several months, judging by the date on that article Well, Hamels is also injury prone and young, and he just went on the DL with a shoulder strain, so let's see how long he takes. Miller and Wood both had shoulder surgery and could beat Prior back. We'll just have to keep watching and see what happens. theres only 2 things to do with this cobs team at this point, laugh at the futility and watch management make it worse
  17. its better baseball then the NL right now i watch 2-4 NL games a day, i watch maybe 2 AL games a week(usually the rangers) i just cant stand the DH and its consequences.
  18. pffft! @#%$ the AL thats not baseball

  20. Or maybe he just needed to be coached by people who know what the hell they're doing at least every once in a while. Corey himself said he thought he should be batting lower in the lineup, specifically as a #6 hitter. Well, the Orioles are doing just that, and letting him work there. And look at the results. Wow, what a radical approach...nobody could have EVER thought of that! Corey definitely had some ego "issues," but if what he's doing now with the O's continues, it should prove he was VERY far from being uncoachable, or terrible or a headcase, or whatever other excuses want to be made. His success should be one of the most scathing indictments of how bad the Cubs' management and coaching staffs are right now. freaking fantastic post!
  21. I gave up on that show years ago. You might find yourself understanding a whole lot more about baseball without having those guys literally decaying your brain. i agree, in fact when i used to watch it, i usually did so with the sound down and misic playing in the background. its actually a decent show if you mute it.
  22. That's been reported everywhere for the past couple of weeks. hey, first i'd heard of it, then again i dont visit the board often anymore and i havent watched a cubs game in several days(maybe 3 games in the last 2 weeks)heck, i dont even watch BBTN anymore.
  23. i'm watching the Fox sports StL feed, so no Stoney, its the regular Stl duo
