  1. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/DJAXXFAN/BoFulginiti.jpg (Bio courtesy of http://www.daytonacubs.com) Bo Fulginiti, Director of Broadcasting and Media for the Daytona Cubs, begins his second season as the radio play-by-play "Voice of the Daytona Cubs." His college and professional sports broadcasting experience includes stints with Stetson University Basketball (2004-'05), University of Maine Baseball (2004-'05) and Savannah Sand Gnats Baseball (2003). A 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University, he received his bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism. A native of Philadelphia, Bo is also a diehard fan of all Philly sports teams, and he enjoys long walks along the warning track and a good cheesesteak. Bo has graciously agreed to help NSBB as a media source with the Daytona Cubs! Bo will be helping NSBB in setting up interviews with some of the Cub Minor League players in Daytona! In addition, Bo has added NSBB to its media post-game list where he will e-mail out recaps and boxscores of each game. These recaps will be added to the daily box score and discussion in the Minor League Forum. As many of you are already aware, Nathan Baliva of the Peoria Chiefs and Ron Potesta of the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx are already posting here on NSBB! In addition, Bruce Miles of The Daily Herald is a contributing poster. Bo will be a very valuable addition to our community here at NSBB! I would like for this thread to be used as a welcome thread for Bo as he prepares to officially join us at NSBB! Welcome, Bo, we are so glad to have you with us!

Once the interview has been completed their responses will be posted in this thread. Since this thread is for both Tim and Jeff, please be sure to remember to address your question or comment to your intended recipient. This session will be coordinated as in accordance with The NSBB Q & A Guidelines "This Old Cub" will air on WGN on July 16th at 7:00 p.m. CT. In addition, thank you to all of you for making NSBB such a wonderful community!
  3. Thanks for reminding people. The questions for the AAA guys ends on Thursday with the Q & A for hte guys in Peoria ending Friday. The AAA guys will not have as much time as Eric and Sean, but we'll get as many questions in from as many people as possible.
  4. Come on guys, do it for charity, do it for NSBB and do it for yourself!
  5. Ron said that he would have to talk about it with the GM and then he'd let me know. Oh ok. To me that would be a big deal. While it would be cool to be on the radio, I don't know that it does the site much good if we can't mention it. Agreed that it's really important. However, me and brinoch have discussed how important it is to show the organizations that we support them and their charities. I don't know that it's $400 important for a game with no mention, but I'm sure Ron will come through if at all possible.
  6. Ron said that he would have to talk about it with the GM and then he'd let me know.
  7. Thanks, Serena! As Serena already mentioned, 100% of the proceeds will be used in a charity auction to benefit NSBB at a charity auction sponsored by the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx. The charity auction is for the JDRF. With that being said, this is a great opportunity to not only help charity, but this will help NSBB while helping yourself! Thank you in advance for your support of NSBB!
  8. We haven't decided, but I can't see going much over $400, especially if they won't let us mention the site.
  9. I just told Serena that could depend on whether or not there are any politicians in the auction. We should be close. The fact remains the same that most of the people want something with resale value and a night in hte booth simply does not have resale value. In addition, there aren't many people out there wanting to spend cash, especially with the ownership STILL threatening to move the team. With that being said, several things should go for a great price.
  10. In regards to the donation, I'll leave that up to Tim. We have a good amount, but you never know how one of those things is going to go.
  11. You still have my cell # handy don't you? :D I have it in your message. I also have one from mhuber. I'm making a note right now to store the numbers in my cellular.
  12. Ron mentioned things on the Sunday broadcast. I listed some of the things and Jon listed some. They're selling signed bats, signed baseballs including a ball signed by the 2005 Cubs, Rich Hill's cleats, lunch with various players/coaches and a night in the broadcast booth, which is why we're all here trying to figure out how to raise cash. I have asked the Jaxx is they could include some game used stuff and lineup cards. It'll be lots of fun!
  13. It's not me [-( Definitely not you. Did you read the list of what the Jaxx are auctioning? It's going to be wild out there!
  14. It's not me [-(
  15. We'd be out of a job!
  16. It would be great if we had enough cash to cover miscellaneous expenses. For example, the Cubs did a bowling tournament and NSBB could have got a sponsorship and team in the event. However, that sort of thing costs money.
  17. I messaged brinoch and NC about their plans so we can get an idea as to what we have to work with. I would like to think that if we were to auction them here we'd get some cash for them. After all, someone would essentially be getting something free for donating to the site.
  18. Oh yeah, a Felix Pie signed Jaxx program as well
  19. Ok, sorry for the delay. In any case, I'd like to propose that we go ahead and find out what type of donations we can get and work from there. NC mentioned donating and I read where brinoch mentioned donating. In addition, if Tim chose to use it, there is $100 that could be allocated to this. brinoch, if you would LMK through a PM what you had in mind in regards to a donation and I'll ask NC about it. I plan on giving as well. Once we have that number we can move forward. In any case, here's a list of some of the stuff I'd be willing to sell here if necessary: 1) I just got a Harvery auto from abuck's auction. I can give Tim the $10 and let abuck resale the card and make more money off it. 2) Ricky Nolasco game worn and autographed Cub jersey (sorry, no LOA) 3) For the Cardinal fans: 1996 Busch Stadium 30th anniversary 8 1/2 x 11 signed by Al Hrabosky 4) Game used baseball from Mother's Day 2004: Rockies at Cubs, certified by MLB 5) Mark Prior and Corey Patterson signed Jaxx mini-helmet (Triple Authenticated) 6) Catfish Hunter signed baseball 7) 2002 game used baseball from a Jaxx game 8. Jaxx bobblehead 9) Baseball card with piece of baseball used in 2003 NLDS Game 4. The ball piece has the MLB logo and it's numbered out of 100. 10) 2005 Interleague pin (Sox at Cubs) 11) Ryne Sandberg 5 card lot: 1985 Topps, 1987 Donruss, 1987 Topps, 1990 Fleer, 1990 Score (All Mint) 12) Mark Grace signed 1992 Donruss card That list could change at any time, but I would sell some of that stuff if it looks like we need the cash.
  20. I have to go for awhile but I have some stuff to use to raise some cash. I'll post it as soon as I get back (maybe 10:30 CT).
  21. I'm on my way home for the afternoon. I'll find some quick stuff and post it here. I'll be gone tonight until at least 10:00 and we could use the extra auction time.
  22. The auction is Saturday. Yep, fast turnaround. Unfortunately this may limit the auction to PayPal, unless I spring the cash.
  23. I should've included them on my list as well. If links to charities are on the main page it would definitely help our image. If we could keep up with the total amount given to charity through NSBB posters that would be great as well.
  24. Is there a way that the drive could be supervised to make sure that people do not set up bogus accounts in an effort to land some stuff?
  25. I have already asked Eric and Sean if they would contribute something to be auctioned to charity with the proceeds going to the charity of choice in their name. That way, not only do they get good PR in a Q & A session, but they get to do something for charity. In addition, we'll be giving and receiving as well. I would love to be able to get something from every Q & A for charity. In addition, although I may be wrong, I am confident that SoSH has a link to a charity and they keep up with the proceeds. Maybe we could support Cubs Care? Could we link their site on the main page? Just thinking as I type.
