  1. Maybe the real "Cubs Dynasty" was the friends we made along the way.
  2. Alzolay's delivery reminds me of Mark Prior's. Hope he doesn't have elbow issues.
  3. I'm just glad he ended up walking.
  4. David Bote (batting .100) way late on a 79 mph pitch.
  5. 3 up 3 down 8 pitches for Alzolay in the first. on pace for a 72 pitch perfect game.
  6. The game has started. i miss the old Wrigley-scoreboard-themed Cubs twitter lineup image.
  7. I went to the Cubs game on Sunday 4/4 (Easter) vs. the Pirates. Going into the stadium was very easy. No more "airport security"... Just scan your tickets and walk in (Unless you have a bag I guess). Sat in the upper deck, 327R. You can mobile order at your seats. I ordered around the 6th inning, but only had the option to pick up from the vendor. Okay, so went to the vendor, and there was a huge line, and only 1 cashier available to take care of the orders. I decided to come back closer to “last call” 7th inning. Came back in the 7th, and now there were 4-5 lines that were much smaller. Successfully got my food and beer. Your mobile order is not ready to go when you get to the vendor. They prepare it for you when you get there. I went to another game Wednesday 4/14… This time sat in the lower deck 212. Ordered hot dogs and beers to my seats through mobile this time. Didn’t show up for an hour. Went down to fan services who took down my order number for a refund. Apparently, it was a system (and systematic) issue, and many people were also having the problem. The staff was obviously very frustrated. Got a text that my refund had been issued. Went to the concessions in-person and got food and beer. About 20 minutes later, my food and beer that I ordered through mobile (to my seats) and already had gotten a refund issued for, was delivered. Just FYI, if anyone is going to the game, avoid ordering to your seats. Pick it up from the concession. And better yet, don't order until you see the lines at the concessions, and order to the vendor with the shortest ones. (Although, I'll admit, it was nice getting free food and beers after all the frustration, LOL)
  8. Fun fact Dustin Fowler is not related to Dexter Fowler. However, he was born in Dexter, Georgia.
  9. he has a nicotine problem I think, hence the 5th inning break.
  10. Trevor Williams's dad seems nice. I wish he was my dad.
  11. this is why we cant have nice things
  12. Not sure if I'm on board with bunting a runner to 3B with 1 out. something something hope I eat crow.
  13. Boog is good but I still miss Len :(
  14. Trevor Williams looks like Jesus, or a hippy Jake Arrieta.
  15. Doesn't the MLB app on phones use location services, meaning the VPN doesn't help? I had my Roku setup to stream through NordVPN, but it took a bit of effort and maintenance. Basically, I setup a 2nd (DD-WRT) router as an Access Point, connected to my primary router, and configured the 2nd router to use NordVPN. That way I could connect all my regular devices to my network as normal, but anything that needs the VPN can connect to the VPN network. It worked, but I had to update the configuration often to keep everything running. It wasn't ideal, but if you're desperate to get things running on a TV, it can be an option. Yes, I believe MLB app uses location services. I used a spoof location app (Fake GPS for Android) to put my location well outside of Chicagoland. This caused the MLB app to log out, and not allow me to log in even with the correct credentials. I'm guessing because its also using mobile data to determine my phone location and when that doesn't match up with WiFi or GPS it goes haywire... Thanks for the advice, I'll look into the router-VPN method. May have to just mess with my main router's settings.
  16. Thanks for the awesome explanation. I've had almost no issues with ExpressVPN and NordVPN over the past few years on a PC/Macbook. I think the key is to have a dedicated server like those that you pay for (or that your company pays for >_>) that can handle a bandwidth of an HD stream. However, I'm having issues with NordVPN and my android phone.
  17. but how will that change the IP? Will try casting it. Cannot connect it, usually am doing work on my laptop.
  18. Sox games are so much easier to watch with Jason Benetti.
  19. Got free MLB.TV thanks to TMobile. Also purchased a subscription of NordVPN on top of that. It sucks having to watch games on my laptop and not TV, but oh well.
  20. Always a good sign when you play half your bullpen.
  21. its nice to see other teams commit TOOTBLANs
  22. I don't really pay attention to our minor league system or even read the minors forum. So some honest questions: https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=camarg000jes# How do his stats compare with the rest of our pitchers at the same level? How big of a loss is this? (Assuming he gets released) And he seems to have decent numbers (looking at them from a major league eye) ... Why didn't he ever get past A ball over his 7 years in the Cubs system?
