  1. I missed a little bit of the game earlier. But how does completing a pass make up for missing what sounds like a would-be touchdown? He's a quarterback, his job is to throw the ball to people so that they can catch it. He didn't "make up" for anything. it was the same play. Moose made a double move, but by the time he came open Rex put it right where it needed to be, in the endzone, but Dez let the ball come to him instead of going to get it allowing the DB to get a hand on it.
  2. hahaha so laughy and jokey about a horrendous call by the refs.
  3. three step drop and the guy is in his face and to you it's all his fault. No one was in his face, and if there was, he should have used his feet or thrown it away, rather than throwing it into Leber's chest. No not Devon too! yes. Rex should be Joe Montana. the play is designed to be a three stop drop and get rid of the ball. he ran the play as it was called but two guys were pouring in on him before he even got into a THREE step drop. So the only example of a QB being at fault is when he has absolutely no pressure and throws the ball directly to a wide-open defender, or...? another A = B, B = C, therefore Y = cherry pie. :?: I just want to hear, in your opinion, what Rex has done wrong today. Everytime he does something, be it a bad decision or a bad pass, you talk about how it wasn't his fault. he lost track of the linebacker on the first Int. shouldn't have put so much air under the ball on the second int. missed Moose on the one play, but made up for it by throwing a strike to Dez. a couple short throws could have been more accurate. should boot a little more when in trouble. he's no having a good game, but the lengths people are going through to bash him are a little silly.

Where did I ask him to be Montana? I'd be satisfied if he played like Jim Freakin' Miller at this point. And, again, no one was in his face. yeah, Jim Miller makes the play you described. the average quarterback doesn't make the read and play you are demanding. edit - than who knocked the ball down and who was right next to the guy who knocked the ball down?

  6. Why? I sure hope not. Looked like a normal tackle to me. He went off on his own power, that's a good thing. from first glance it looked like an injury where his upper leg was jammed up into his hip.

  8. this may be a Bo Jackson type injury to Hester.
  9. he did not get that play off on time.
  10. lol @ "Bruce" Bollinger. watch out for the option here Bears.
  11. I can virtually guaranty he does. his designed hole wasn't there, so he'd dance and get dropped.
  12. three step drop and the guy is in his face and to you it's all his fault.
  13. no way TJ makes that play. of course its a td. what are they even discussing
  14. that pass was no worse than the pass to Dez.
  15. Ced in, as he should have been all game.
  16. the int was a pass deflected by a D lineman and a great grab by the LB the next two passes were check downs. he missed one that would have gone for no gain, then Dez dropped the next one. ugh withouth Tommie. Nice try, but he threw that ball behind and over Clark's head. That ball should be caught. It was only about a foot over his head and wasn't really thrown behind him. He was just turned an awkward way and couldn't come down with it. PICK! dingdingding. we have a winner. you guys are seeing things the way an angry fan or moronic tv broadcaster would.

  18. the intelligence of this board drops dramitacally with every post blaming Rex for that last int.
  19. he said "by rule" but I don't know that I've ever heard of said rule. if said rule exists, it is a stupid rule. this is going to blamed on Rex too, right?
  20. the 5 biggest bowl games besides the NC will all be far better games than the NC.
  21. This is a really good point that I was about to mention. The Bears are really set up to win THIS year. Hell, you know the defense is going to be worse next year, just based on the loss of Lance Briggs alone. They have to go for it this season, Grossman's development be damned. If Griese can help the team win more this year, they have to do that. So you'd advocate playing the inferior veteran over the younger player, when the veteran doesn't give you much over the younger player? winning with Lance Briggsat the expense of Developing Rex is not a good strategy for the long term health of the team. Your assumption that Griese would be inferior at this point to Rex is not a supportable assertion. as is your assumption he would be better. Just show me where Griese put up a 0 QB rating. Otherwise your just dead wrong. if A = B, and B = C, then Y obviously = cherry pie.
  22. Boone's put on alot of weight.
