    It's not trollish. If he's too hurt to start a game, why risk hurting him further in relief? If he's healthy enough to sustain the rigors of daily hurling, why waste him by keeping him in the pen? It just doesn't make sense.

    "Go Cubs Go" is a much better postgame choice than the tired "Get Down Tonight." It's nice to see a rare complete game from the old man. There, I'm being positive!

    There is NOTHING WORSE for a Kentucky Cubs fan to endure. But if it gets Dusty out of my life, I can bear it.

    I've posted this before, but I'm becoming more and more inclined to believe that Bartman Night just ruined this window for us. It killed our players' souls, freaked out the fans and robbed Baker of whatever skills he possessed prior. Our guys have lacked swagger, moxie, poise - whatever you call it - ever since then. We just can't put anything together over an extended period.

    If Baker lasts past dusk Hendry should be shown the door before dawn.

    He really does need the practice. He is really rough when he calls the games. It was always a shame when big plays went down in the bottom of the seventh, as Maser's awful calls were subsequently replayed on ESPN Radio for the next 12 hours or so. Of course, that was when we were good. Maser's a great studio/update man, but I can't imagine him getting a full-time PBP gig.

    You don't want a weak hitting pitcher to sac bunt? It's not like he would've done anything positive swinging away. He shouldn't have been hitting at all. How listless does this team have to get before Hendry is forced to can Busty?

    My system's cranked, and the booage came through loud and clear despite Len's attempt to distract with a promotional message. The crowd did a good job.

    I'll add that I love the expanded postseason. It's great to have two or three big games on the daily plate for a stretch of several days. I follow the whole thing from start to finish ... it's like a baseball festival.

    I would plegde enough money to buy 10 shares if other members were willing to participate in an endeavor. It would actually help the site in many different ways, aside from just giving us a voice as shareholders. We could all be guaranteed Premium membership for a period of time, Tim could possibly expand the site, etc. Sign me up.
