  1. Scott Kazmir for Victor Zambrano.
  2. Don't you know, it is the invisible stuff that Pierre is good at.
  3. I am not for bringing up Pie. Sure he looks great and his numbers thus far are good too, but he has only really had @ 1/2 of a good season above A ball. To me this would be a move out of desperation and it's only April. I'd much rather see how healthy Jones is and try to tread a little water until Wood and Prior get back. Right now no one in the division has seperated from the other teams.
  4. on to watch Moses lead his people out of bondage.
  5. And we have a winner. Tell what he's won Jimmy. You win a lifetime supply of Slap Nasty's- that tasty treat that goes down smoth and never slowes you down. !!! The official name should be "Snap Nasy Flairs" How about that spelling though? In my haste to get it in I left out: him and misspelled smooth, and slows Aramis is ice cold.

  7. Luis Polonia, too. And Jim "The King" Layritz
  8. Murton has one of the quickest swings I've ever seen.
  9. I hope they call up Sing or Restovich. The Cubs could use some pop. Murt 2-2 with an OBP of 1.000.
  10. Catcher. 5-8 185 (in my playing days). Hit left handed, not much power, but great patience. I was also hit four times in one game. Definately a back-up. Since, I ruined my shoulder lifting weights so I don't have much of an arm either, so I guess I would be pretty usless. I use to play in a 30 and over baseball league and I played second, though.
  11. Can he hit for enough power to be a corner outfielder?
  12. Seconded I'd like to say a walk scored that run and it helped that the guy had a little speed. If he doesn't get on base running fast to the dugout is of little value. If Pierre didn't have speed, a run wouldn't have scored in that at bat because he wouldn't have been on second. Therefore, speed got us a run. whatever. Lee would have drove him in anyway.

  14. Santo had an orgasmic moment when Cedeno dropped the liner then threw the guy out. OHYEAAAAAAAAAA!
  15. He doesn't seem to have a lot going on upstairs, that's how. That is not necessarily a bad thing in baseball. I remember a vinet in Moneyball where Beane is reconting a story where he and Lenny Dystra are sitting on the bench talking about the pitcher they were going to face. I can't remember the pitcher's name but he was really good. Beane says someting about the pitcher and Dykstra says, "who is he" or something like that. Beane goes on to tell Dykstra how good the pitcher is and Dykstra says, "F it I can hit him".
  16. Delution of pitchers? Care to elaborate? Expansion
  17. I think it is a combination of a number of things: -Stronger players -Delution of pitchers -Smaller ballparks I think it would be hard to "juice" the balls, intentionally. I think they are hand made somewhere in Lating America.
  18. Saw a scroll on CNN. A grand jury is considering perjury charges. The volutures are circling. My guess is he is done at the end of this season, if not sooner.
  19. But it's funnier as "flair". :) Much more funny.
  20. Larry Himes was a friggen idiot. For some reason he never really thought that much of Maddux. One has to remember too, that this is before Boras was "Boras". I was only more mad at the Cubs when Bill Madlock was traded. And I was only 4 or 5 at the time.
  21. Let is out man. You can see a graph of Aramis's BA by month here http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs.aspx?playerid=1002&position=3B&page=0&type=full
  22. I don't think they've played at home yet. Well I guess attendance hasn't been too goog then. I really hope they stay in Jackson.
