    Beef Wellington Castillo is 3-5 with a homer and 3 RsBI tonight. larry craig is 4-5 with 2 doubles... his line on the year is something like .366/.520/.560 in roughly 125 PAs, and he also destroyed the southern league last season to the tune of .326/.416/.514/.931. time to send that young man to iowa.

    great effort from rhee tonight, and really not too bad from samardzija considering that albuquerque is a tough place to pitch.

    well the cubs had pretty lousy starting pitching and defense in this game, along with poor hitting with runners on base, and still had a good chance to win at the end. get 'em tomorrow.

    nice pitch recognition blanco, swing at pitches 2 feet out of the zone, then let the one go that's right down broadway. good riddance.

    What do you suggest? Letting a fifteen year veteran who has hit 3 homers in the last 3 games bat. I don't care if the pitcher is a lefty. A 15 year veteran with atrocious lefty splits this season against a guy who destroys left handed hitters. The 15 year veteran just homered off a lefty on Saturday. Murton sucks, especially as a pinch hitter. It was a stupid decision with a very predictable result. well all i can say is that i am glad you are not the manager.

    career numbers for sherrill: vs RHB: .241/.360/.340/.700 vs LHB: .167/.235/.290/.525 that was easily, easily the right move, even if it didn't work out.
