  1. a run! http://www.everyjoe.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/arvind-mahankali-celebration.gif
  2. petition baseball for a rule change so that schwarber take all of the at bats and ross can do all of the fielding.
  3. Yes we should totally grill him on one decision in a baseball game in May. Let's make him sweat and possibly make him question his manhood set his winnebago on fire just to send a message that he needs to be better.
  4. as opposed to all of the times you do anticipate the cubs doing something positive.
  5. hitting a lot of balls at 95+ mph should result in a lot of hits. this has not been happening the last two nights.
  6. well, the good news is that luck like this tends to even out over the course of the season, which is why the brewers will be mathematically eliminated in august.
  7. need a run. you can't lose two games in a row to a team with a grown man who calls himself scooter.
  8. another ball with 100+ mph exit velocity, another two outs.
  9. almora has a 14 game hitting streak, 4th longest in the PCL this season.

  11. pretty sure that none of these balls have been hit as hard as practically every ball we hit in the first four innings.
  12. dallas braden or phil humber spring to mind. i'd probably go with dallas braden because somehow he threw a perfect game.
  13. this reminds me of that game when ryan o'malley threw 8 shutout innings even though he was a tomato can giving up rockets all over the yard.
  14. petition to make thrillho post more.
  15. It's mid May and we already lead the division by 9 games.
  16. i think you're in teh same camp as me on this...i don't hate vin scully at all. i just think he's a senile boring old man as an announcer, and, for whatever reason, the whole baseball world pretends he isn't. He's always been boring and bad. People in baseball love tradition and longevity, that's why everyone loves him. The Dodgers have basically had only 2 broadcasters since radio was invented, he and Red Barbor and that's pretty cool, but he's sucks and he's always sucked. A one man booth is [expletive]. wrong.

  18. Al-MadeAnotherThreeErrorsTonight-ys Diaz.
  19. a number of the guys in the pen who have been "shaky" have pretty good track records and are likely to turn it around. plus there are guys in iowa who should probably get a shot before we dump resources into another pen arm. as for chapman, the cubs have a good thing going in the clubhouse so i tend to think they'd steer clear of a domestic abuser.
  20. almora two-run, two-out walkoff double :stickman: i-cubs win 3-2
  21. willson just donged. almora tripled - those are iowa's only two hits. ryan williams had a solid outing: 6+ ip, 6 h, 2 r, 1 er, 2 bb, 8 k, 1 hr. mini hendricks? his walk rate is up this year, which maybe suggests that he's nibbling more against better hitters as he moves up the ladder. williams allowed 2 baserunners to lead off the 7th but geraldo concepcion (who apparently has been called up from tennessee) bailed him out by striking out the next 3 batters.
