that's just a boring game. plus i hate games like usc playing in the emerald bowl or oklahoma in the sun bowl or miami the year they went to play on the blue turf. what's their motivation? clearly they're more talented than their opponent, but they've underachieved all year and probably will just go through the motions.

too many teams imo. i could really do without at least 8 of those teams making it. i wouldn't support a playoff that had more than 8 teams. in the four team playoff system that i devised previously, the tournament would be: alabama-tcu cincinnati-texas boise st would be left out, as would florida.

I was about to make a "If you can't beat him, hire him as your head coach" joke but then I looked it up and found out that it was William and Mary that beat Virginia while Richmond beat Duke. Mixing up my CAA and ACC teams. seems fairly risky (london has only been a head coach for 2 years, both of those at richmond) but i have a feeling he'll be a good hire. i wonder if he'll stay on and coach richmond the rest of the way in the i-aa playoffs. This is either sarcasm or you missed the end of the Richmond-App St. game on Saturday. i missed every game on saturday, i was hiking and spending time with family. but yeah for some reason i was thinking that richmond won 31-28. oops.

i know, imagine that a coach alleging another coach is committing infidelity with a girl half his age becomes national news while things like "i'm disappointed we didn't do better" were skipped over.

Could be lingering effects of that nasty concussion he had, or could also be that he didn't handle the ravenous dimensions of Safeco well. Edit: I meant Petco, not Safeco i believe you mean cavernous, unless you are suggesting that the stadium is extremely hungry or has a voracious sexual craving.

Yeah, the rest of the interview was actually quite good and put him in a good light, but that question/answer was just absurd. There is no context in which that is sensible. even if it was supposed to be off the record, it's extremely dumb. the reporters might not be able to print it but it certainly plants a seed in their head and they can go running off to l.a. to check out what's going on at pete carroll's house.

what on earth is weis talking about with carroll? i don't know if carroll is doing anything inappropriate or not, but regardless of whether weis is coach, how is it appropriate for him to make comments to the media about another coach's personal life? apparently weis is a dick to go along with being a bad football coach. (and yes i know weis has played the old "out of context" card)

4-game suspension for that sucker punch. Well deserved. i wish he'd gotten more. 50 or 60 (however many games we have left) would have been fine.

What exactly happened to him, I didn't see. got low-bridged by his own player while trying to make a tackle. looked kinda like the injury willis mcgahee suffered in the national championship game.
