  1. come the hell on, that's a chip shot
  2. hey maybe next time don't run into the kicker and your team won't give up a touchdown on the next play
  3. how about guyer's career splits? .305/.366/.477/.843 against RHP and .253/.311/.410/.721 against LHP.... and he's a RH batter.
  4. the next time a va tech player makes a play without dancing around afterward will be the first time.
  5. well that was pass interference
  6. man wtf?
  7. awesome then, way to choke i-cubs. you are now truly ready to be chicago cubs.
  8. should've audibled and thrown a pass over the defense on the punt... that slot WR would have been wide open
  9. The Smokies make the playoff though, how is this Guyer's last game of the year? Did I miss something? last game of the regular season, sorry
  10. man boise st has had some really bad blown coverage so far.
  11. no, it just has to do with them being a consistently good program with a lot of depth.
  12. If this game is any indication of their play, I don't see them beating Georgia Tech, UNC, or Miami. Or maybe BC. they've finished in the top 25 every year since 1998 except for 2003. i'd hold off on jumping to any conclusions from one quarter of football.
  13. i can see why tech is about 1-900 against top 5 teams under beamer.
  14. haha i love when a CB or S makes a big hit on a receiver after a first down catch and then gets up and celebrates. next time maybe you can hold him to less than 15 yards you d-bag.

  16. guyer hit a double and a homer in his last game of the year. he finished the season with a line of .344/.398/.588/.986 with 29 steals against just 3 CS. led the league in batting average by about 25 points, 5th in OBP, 1st in SLG and 1st in OPS (he and canzler are the only eligible players who finished with a SLG over .500 or an OPS over .900). fantastic year out of him. iowa blew a 3 run lead and lost 7-6. jackson didn't pitch well (6.0 ip, 7 h, 4 er, 4 bb, 2 k, 1 hbp) but berg didn't help matters. chirinos was 3-4 with 2 doubles. i guess iowa will have a one game playoff with memphis now. peoria won 9-4; robinson lopez pitched well (3 ip, 0 h, 0 r, 2 bb, 2 k)
  17. you left out a couple of the guys who i thought would be on this year's team - parker and gaub. plus there's david cales and maybe dolis if he moves to the pen and throws enough strikes. the problem with the list above is that most of those guys just don't have a big league arm, and the ones who do don't know where the ball is going when they throw it. as for guzman, he had major shoulder surgery and i can't imagine him being available for the start of the season. relying on him for anything next year would be stupid.
  18. boise has been better than nebraska for most of the last decade; why should they go 2-for-1?
  19. if they want to contend next year - which may or may not be possible - they have to improve the bullpen. no team will ever win anything with a bullpen as atrocious as this year's squad.
  20. this is an award in the same way that the burger king crown is an award.
  21. yeah shockingly you did not post much in the game threads of dempster's august starts.
  22. their playoff series starts on thursday against west tennessee and archer has been their best starter, so he's probably going in game one. relax everybody.
