  1. I don't wanna get flamed here. But really? wut?
  2. must be nice to have a hitter like granderson at the bottom of your lineup. i guess you can do that with an eleventy billion dollar payroll.
  3. BP did kind of a post-mortem on their cubs top 11 from earlier this year:
  4. shut up you douchebag. looks fair to me it was. halladay was just hitting his spots all night; there were very few gift strike calls. i'll take my strike zone judgments from someone who didn't have a .303 OBP this season.
  5. i'm half surprised they didn't have cuddyer bunting thome over to second.
  6. shut up you douchebag.
  7. ah, the ol' first inning bunt after the leadoff hitter reaches first. must be the playoffs (or ryne sandberg is managing)
  8. i can think of a few, but here are teams with a better record of success than the phillies: mets braves marlins reds technically the cubs should be on this list, but since they haven't won in forever i'll leave them off cardinals pirates dodgers giants diamondbacks yankees red sox blue jays orioles twins tigers white sox a's
  9. as opposed to the yankee fans who have seen their team win 27 titles and act like they're entitled to win it every year (and act like if they don't win it for 5 years, that it's a national tragedy that needs to be remedied ASAP)
  10. i was wondering the same thing... that was a nice play by ruiz (when did he get so good, by the way?)
  11. have you only followed baseball since 2008? the phillies are 1100 games below .500 in their existence and have won the world series only twice in 125 years. you could pick almost any other team in baseball and it would have a greater history of success than the phillies.
  12. i will give you a hint, he threw a no-hitter in the first postseason start of his career.
  13. yeah but you hate everything.
  14. not only do i hope the reds lose in 3 games, i now hope that they do not get a hit in any of those 3 games.
  15. quick quiz: which pitcher has the worst single-season ERA in major league history? (minimum 60 innings pitched)
  16. roy halladay is so awesome.
  17. hopefully this will get the vikings back to all their old ways... lake minnetonka cruise anyone?
  18. d-lee has won enough world series
  19. i'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the cardinals' middle infield did not reach their projected WAR values.
  20. i grew up 15 minutes from philly so they're the choice. i was born in st. paul and my best friend is a twins fan so they've been my AL team for a long time, and i'd be happy if they win also. after that: 3. rays 4. giants 5. rangers 6. braves 7. yankees 8. dusty baker's reds
  21. yes that was definitely put to rest after the first preseason game (where wade didn't even play) Do you think they will have problems playing together? do you think that how lebron looked last night, without one of the big three on the court, made any sort of statement about how the three will play together?
  22. toronto might have won the division if they played in the NL central or AL west this year.
  23. LaceDarius and LaCharlesla? is this a joke
  24. this is the baseball thread, please stay on topic. if you'd like to discuss betting, please visit my website, thecollegefootballknowitall.com
  25. dusty played a big role in destroying the most promising cubs pitcher in several decades. nothing good should happen to him, ever.
