  1. because rex ryan is an obese loud-mouth with a creepy foot fetish and his players won't shut up even though they haven't accomplished a damn thing.
  2. i'm surprised at how, oh i dunno, likable he seems on that show he does on espn. he comes off as brash, stubbornly ignorant, and pretty damn stupid, but he doesn't seem like the same [expletive] that went off on hall of fame tirades that firejoemorgan made fun of him for i dont go out of my way to watch that show as its mostly fluff, but its not horrible yeah well that's because that show is the proper setting for him. it's lighthearted banter and requires very little sports knowledge or insight. he does have a good presence and delivery, so it's fine when he's talking about whether tom brady or justin bieber has better hair, or whether it would be more fun to go out for pizza with shaq or chad ochocinco. it's when he hosts a 3 or 4 hour sports talk show that he gets in trouble, because it's really hard to arrogantly present yourself as a know-it-all on every sports issue when you have done almost no research to back up whatever point it is you're trying to make.
  3. colin cowherd is the worst at a lot of things.
  4. it doesn't matter. to them, a team-friendly deal is one that puts very good players on their team. they just gave derek jeter like $18m a year to be the mascot.
  5. bears fans coming into the general nfl thread to knock other teams down a peg = friendly discussion other teams' fans going into the bears threads to critique the bears = trolling
  6. it's skip bayless, the guy is a [expletive] moron and should be insulted at every opportunity.
  7. i'd say the packers made the right move by installing rodgers as qb and telling favre to [expletive] off.
  8. lol nice hands
  9. why won't dan dierdorf just go away?
  10. pretty impressive that psu was right in this game until the end despite battle repeatedly throwing up bricks from outside the arc.
  11. Word from Olney and a few others is that Cashman was overruled by ownership in this particular matter, draft pick be damned. it shouldn't matter... they still have later picks and they should just toss lots of money at guys who fall because of college commitments.
  12. http://www.deadspin.com/5732917/wes-welker-makes-11-references-to-feet-in-one-press-conference Not only are the pats really good at football, they're really good at trolling their opposition when they put their mind to it.
  13. our defensive line is getting no pressure whatsoever. only time they're getting pressure is when they blitz the entire team.
  14. the post so nice he made it twice.
  15. thank you for lightening up the mood in this thread.
  16. the eagles made their bed by losing at home to shitty minnesota. this loss was pretty obvious once that happened.
  17. let me give you a spoiler on point #2 - guzman will not stay healthy. grabow is mediocre and caridad is no better.
  18. yeah except weren't they at a point of the field (after the tomlinson run) where it still would have been close to a 50 yard kick? i'd rather let the clock run down than call time out and give the jets a chance to talk it over on the sideline and set up their next play.
  19. looks like rex ryan's offseason foot fetish video hobby will have to wait another week.
  20. so what was their gripe against that video assistant?
  21. that play was pretty much a lesson on how not to tackle
  22. matt hasselback is a dumb douche
  23. sounds like he swings, and i'm not talking about a baseball bat. except if you use baseball bat as a euphemism for a body part.
  24. right, except in the scenario you're giving here, it's not garza for archer and lee. assuming that you recoup the value of guyer and chirinos for gorzo - which i strongly doubt will happen, given that back-end starters with underwhelming stuff are undervalued in the market, and the cubs have basically put up a flashing neon sign that says "we don't want this guy" - the trade is garza for archer, lee and gorzelanny. so you're gaining 1.5 wins at the big league level and adding several million dollars in payroll, and subtracting two of your top 5 prospects. again, i fail to see how the cubs are making out well here, unless archer and lee both are complete busts.
  25. what matchups?
