  1. boy i'm pretty good at this... i was in first for a lot of last year too
  2. beano is a fat, bitter old slob who's about 5 minutes from a heart attack
  3. dude, DePaul has the homliest co-eds on the planet. at least they did when I was there. rough UW Oshkosh had there girls like 90% fat 8% ugly 1.9% average looking .1% hot.
  4. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/images/fan_forum/y2007/ads/800x600_cws_contreras.jpg but apparently not everyone can pitch a good one.
  5. i don't think he's gonna be that great as a fantasy option, at least in the short term. Keeper league? Sure.
  6. yeah i was following that game, awesome
  7. see here's the thing. Some people look at just one game. And then others, like myself, look at how the player has performed during the entire year. Sean Marshall pitched terribly today. Nobody's arguing that fact. However, coming into this game he had a 144 ERA+ (though he's been lucky) and a 1.25 WHIP, which makes him an asset to the ballclub. Meanwhile, Jacque has a 68 OPS+ (!!!) and two homers in about 300 ABs. Combined with mediocre (at best) defense and lousy baserunning, make him a detriment to the team. So I'll stick up for Marshall despit the lousy performance, and I'll pound on Jock despite what was (at least for him) a really good game.
  8. Pie some people don't think are ready (i don't think he is, but jones is so bad that it doesn't matter). But there's literally nobody on this board who thinks Soto shouldn't be with the big club and playing a significant number of games.
  9. cubs are middle of the pack in most of the bullpen pitching categories, and that's with a horrendous start to the year. They've been really good the past 2 months. If it were up to you, we'd have no minor league system any more because everyone would've been traded for veteran help.
  10. well now i can get ready to go eat wings and drink beer, cubs ain't winning this one
  11. yeah walk off the field as losers after he grounds into a double play
  12. or if he'd caught the fly ball that he lost I'm at work -- can't watch or follow too closely -- did he lose ANOTHER ball in the sky? yeah when it was 6-1... pretty deep fly but easily catchable not liking our chances if we don't score here, with the bottom-of-the-order turds in the 9th
  13. if they played the phillies bullpen in all of those games, that record would be considerably better
  14. hopefully samardzija figures out how to strike out hitters somewhere along the line
  15. his career IsoP is .074... are you thinking of ronny cedeno or something?
  16. corey hart can hit all the homers he wants when the brewers are down 12-3
  17. You hit DeRosa for him there and swith Pagan to CF. Wish we had Lou Brown running our team sometimes. Well if Cliff the Cripple didn't hurt himself running to first base, it would've been an easy PH with Pagan or DeRosa there. Since they had to waste Pagan in RF they have to conserve the bench a bit.
  18. before that AB i just wanted jones to NOT ground into a double play. I wasn't expecting anything good since it was a LHP, just didn't want THAT. Jones needs to not hit against lefties. Like ever.
  19. well you're definitely barking up the wrong tree this inning
