  2. don't tell me rich hill could actually give up 3 runs AND get a win
  3. WOW they've given up 84 runs (!!!!) in the past 7 games
  4. lawl, orioles just gave up 11 runs in the 8th... God their pitching is bad
  5. and he gives up after knowing he has no argument. Good job Fan Club, way to be strong!!!! RICH HILL FOR LIFE! i almost have enough UPC codes for my rich hill decoder ring!!!!!!
  6. great effort tonight rich, sorry you'll be below .500 after tonight
  7. Hitting a batter and that batter scoring is not luck. in that inning it sure was
  8. cubs hit two balls hard that inning and they resulted in three outs. one poorly-hit ball resulted in two runs for the brewers. luck does play a role in the short term.
  9. carlos pena has 31 home runs, considering the cubs' offensive ineptitude with the power bats, that is really depressing
  10. again with the threats? hey i bench 400 internet lbs, watch it pal
  11. i think someone will get on base this inning... going against the odds with that prediction, but i'm just throwing it out there
  12. rich hill's garbage effort just became a quality start
  13. actually he is, he's just been unlucky with balls in play and hasn't helped himself with his fielding. i wasn't being sarcastic. he has had some of the nastiest breaking stuff i've ever seen him throw. fastball has also looked good. The Brewers have a .400 BABIP for the game, and have gotten a couple of really lucky hits at the right time. exactly. i know game threads are emotional, but this one has been nuts. and what's funny is that he was one really lucky hit from giving up 1 ER in 5 IP. So 3 ER in 5 IP is garbage, but 1 ER in 5 IP is really good, so that one seeing-eye blooper determined that Hill's outing tonight was garbage rather than really good. One lucky hit or one terrible 0-2 pitch that hit Weeks. Depends on how you look at it. even if it's just a regular inside pitch, there's no guarantee that weeks doesn't get a hit there. Kendall wanted the pitch inside; Hill missed his spot by a foot and ended up hitting Weeks. All in all he's done a really good job of putting his pitches where he wanted them tonight; that's about all you can do.

  15. is there a contest going on? to see who can be the most sarcastic 'fan', or have the BIGGEST, most ridiculous sig? just curious... you're certainly a frontrunner in the whining contest possibly, but thankfully, my posts are not being parodied on other sites/ blogs. you're pretty bored if you're cruising other sites to see if other people are talking about me

  17. Yeah. good god. hill is actually pitching pretty good, imo. just got unlucky there. had an 0-2 count on weeks and one got away, a bloop hit... i don't think it's over yet. It is a tight race on who is a bigger mental midget, Zambrano or Hill. i'll take the guy who's a 26 year old spaz and didn't go to university of michigan

  20. i've been off for 5 days but yeah, looks like that ridge is pretty big and the flow is offshore, so it's gonna be hot. Dunno how hot but 100+ is certainly likely in the interior.
  21. hey johan santana is the best pitcher in baseball, don't get down on our offense for not hitting him. oh wait he's not the starting pitcher?
  22. yeah back to back groundouts probably WINNER
  23. yeah back to back groundouts probably
  24. Turned into gripe threads? They've always been this way. They become celebration threads when the Cubs actually play well. It's just been so long you have probably forgotten. They have always been this way, to a degree. There used to be consistent pbp. someone tell fred to stop driving around and get on nsbb
