How many ABs has he had this month? 7? The Cubs ruined Pie's shot of being effective on offense when they decided to use him only as a defensive sub. Cubs can't afford to wait for him to start hitting while in the thick of a race... Jones has been hitting. yeah, pie had his chance to be a regular player and put up a sparkling .600 OPS. Especially with the black hole at catcher, we couldn't afford another one at CF.
