West Tenn Diamond Jaxx Raise Over $3,500.00 for American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund

West Tenn Diamond Jaxx fans, front office staff members, players and coaches raised $3,584.84 for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to aid victims in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. During the remaining 2005 home games and post-season games, Pringles Park became an official donation site for the American Red Cross. Throughout the games, fans were encouraged to donate via Public Service Announcements, strategically placed Disaster Relief donations cans, and at the main American Red Cross donation station at the main gates.

In attempts to expand their efforts with the American Red Cross, the Diamond Jaxx awarded free admission tickets to fans wishing to donate to the Disaster Relief Fund. One free General Admission ticket was given to each fan who donated at least $5.00 and one free Box Seat ticket was given to each fan who donated at least $10.00. Fans, staff, and players rallied together to raise over $3,500.00 in cash and check donations so the Red Cross can provide the necessary funds for shelter, food, drinking water, counseling, and other assistance needed in this time of heightened emergency.
