The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, in cooperation with the American Red Cross, will be hosting a Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund collection to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina for the remaining games of the 2005 season at Pringles Park. Collection dates will extend through the Northern division playoff games at Pringles Park on Wednesday, September 7th and Thursday, September 8th as well as on Friday, September 9th if the Jaxx win the second half division title.

Donations to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund can be made with cash or check, made payable to “American Red Cross.” Those fans writing checks need to specify “Katrina” or “Disaster Relief” on the memo line of their personal checks. Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund canisters will be located at the front office customer service desk, the clubhouse store, and collected by ushers during games.

For more information, call the Diamond Jaxx box office at (731) 988-5299 or log onto our website at http://www.diamondjaxx.com. The West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx are the Class-AA Southern League Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The Diamond Jaxx play in the 6,000 seat Pringles Park, built in 1998, located just off exit 85 from I-40 in Jackson, TN.
