Sanchez and his agent got what he wanted,that 5th. year and a total of 20 M more than the original 4 years and 60 M offer.Nice work if you can get it. The Cubs should be adding another starting pitcher anyway,leading to speculation that Theo's lining up his pieces for a trade to bring us closer to competitiveness in 2013.

 

I would like to see Edwin Jackson added to the starting rotation,over the likes of Marcum,Jurrjens or Liriano,but there are reasons why I suppose his former teams walked away from him.I'm really surprised at all the low risk and high reward pitching signees to this point.
