Taking my GF to her first ever Cubs game on Saturday, August 15 vs. the Pirates. Would love to get some great seats at at decent price. Please PM me if you can help.

FYI, I have access to ND Football tickets, many times at face value or just above. Would be willing to return the favor to someone looking for visit South Bend this fall.

Thanks! Go Cubs! Go Irish!

I'd just try craigslist. Especially against the Pirates you should be able to get stuff for just about face.

If you are adventurous, go hit up ticket sellers around Murphy's before the game. Especially against bad teams, ie Pitts/Cin etc, supply usually outweighs demand there and you'll actually get them to barter against each other which is how I've gotten bleacher tickets for below face! \:D/

Other than USC (and maybe even then), there's not a single game that won't be selling at or below face across the street from campus the morning of.

Hmm ... I thought Notre Dame sells out every game, so demand greatly exceeds supply.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but they sell out almost every single game. Those people standing across the street are selling tickets that have technically been sold by the university already.

I should add, you can get the tix at face. If you're not wise, you can also get them for almost 2 times face.

So why don't those people standing across the street just go to the game? They are right there after all.

Why does anyone scalp tickets ever?

1) Something came up and they can't go

2) Want to make some money selling for more than they paid

I agree with the first point, though if you can't go chances are you aren't outside the stadium right before gametime trying to sell off your tickets.

I have a hard time believing the second point, since the tickets are going for face or less than face. Unless the scalpers are middle-men and got their tickets for even cheaper somehow, but I can't think of how that's possible.

It's the same guys standing on the same corners with fists full of tickets for every game every year. I'm sure they're middle men.
