From now on, if you are going to send me a trade offer (and I do like to make deals), PLEASE send a comment with it as to how it would help both teams. Some of these trade offers I'm getting are ridiculous and it makes me question the type of owners we have in this league.

I have to be honest with you- I haven't paid a bit of attention to your team thus far, but I thought for sure that you'd have a juggernaut. What has happened up to this point?

Still dealing with some injuries and Robinson Cano and JR Towles have given me hardly anything to this point. I'm not really worried. I think that once Posada gets back, my offense won't have a hole in it. My pitching has been inconsistent and I was really counting on Smoltz to be a rock in my rotation. Since he's going to the Bullpen, I'm going to have to figure out something...

Mark, keep asking yourself that.

If you want me to tell you what your weaknesses are, I will send you a PM.

I will say taking J. Smoltz in the 2nd round of the draft was definitely a head scratcher.

First off, he was taken in the third round ;)

He was 11th in total pitcher points last season and 4th or 5th the previous season and there weren't any indications that he was slowing down. I had no holes to fill on offense after taking Carlos Lee in the first round (other than catcher, I was loaded in the OF with Byrnes, Upton, Kemp, Berkman, and Carlos Lee) and took the best starting pitcher available at the time.

The immediate 10 picks after Smoltz have not been all that great either.
