  1. That's exactly what I was thinking.
  2. I'm pretty sure last year he might have hit 94 on the gun but it wasn't consistent. His velocity was all over the place last year.
  3. We're lucky that Hendry found a taker but what does that say about Hendry when that fool signed him to that contract in the first place? What a dimwit.
  4. Why not. Anything to not see Izturis in the lineup and seriously I would rather have Pie here than Erstad and old man Finley. How are Pie's splits against lefties?
  5. On ESPN 1000 they mentioned Bruce Levine said the cubs were after a CF but I did not catch the name, Anybody hear who it was we were after?
  6. What supplements did he recommend? Just like working out and training the body needs time to heal and recover.
  7. Injuries to the secondary as has been mentioned before.
  8. I would never actually argue that the Saints have a better defense. That would certainly be silly. The Bears D is frightening and makes me nervous. However, my original reason I pulled out defensive stats over the last half of the season is to show that the Saints D has improved and shouldn't be overlooked. They deserve respect. Yet you were implying that they did have the better defense than the Bears because the last 6 games or so statistically they have been better.
  9. I really want to see more of Tyrus Thomas. Did you any of you guys see some of his plays last night? This guy is amazing. I think he could lead the league in blocked shots if he is able to play 30-35 min per game. His shooting hasn't been that bad but he does get called for fouls a lot.
  10. Definitely not overall. The Bears D is a beast. But the second half of the season y'all played poor offensive teams and gave up a ton of points. I showed you stats that showed that during OUR second half we played good offensive teams and gave up few points. Right now I think the Saints D is better. The stats prove that easily. no they don't. but your belief that they do prove you don't know much about football. How do the stats not prove this??? Look at your last 3 "real" games: You gave up 31 points to the 29th ranked offense in football! Then a week later gave up 21 points to the 22nd ranked offense. Then last week you gave up 24 points to the 19th ranked offense. Our last 3 "real games: 16 points to the 13th ranked offense, 7 points to the 14th ranked offense, then 24 points to the 2nd ranked offense. You clearly don't understand what was happening in those Bears games. They were playing with back of the roster filler. They were going out to big leads is meaningless games and allowed a couple teams to come back late (yet they still won, unlike the Saints that couldn't beat a terrible Redskins teams when things still mattered). They were playing with guys in the secondary who will not sniff the defensive side of the ball in this game, and they were playing extremely soft, almost prevent style defense the whole time. The coaching staff was setting up for the playoffs 2 months ago. The fact that they gave up some yards and points to weak teams in the 4th quarter of meaningless games they still won really means nothing as far as how good the team actually is. That super powered NO offense was able to manage an astonishing 10 points at home against the Redskins haha.
  11. Amazing you think this way. So what you are saying is the Bears are going up against the best offense in the NFL and also having to deal with a defense much better than theirs? OK.
  12. If Grossman were smart, he'd be hitting Des Clark as often as possible. A tight end is a quarterback's best friend. Especially when that QB is struggling. I noticed Grossman was at his best when he used Clark and his FB.
  13. They are saying he will not be available to play on Sunday.
  14. I think the Bears need to draft a safety because without Mike Brown on this team our Safeties are terrible.
  15. Aaron Brooks to Drew Brees that's all you need to know :) I'm also impressed with Deuce. The guy had a torn ACL last year and has been very solid for them. Very impressive considering most people need a full year to get back to where they were.
  16. This matchup should be a good one and I think both teams were the best in the NFC and rightfully deserve to play each other.
  17. trading Jones for peanuts isn't a good move. Honestly, our best bet is to leave Jones at CF, find a platoon player that can play CF who is right handed to bat against lefties and we have a legitimate presence at CF. Worst case scenario we trade him on the deadline and bring up Pie to play CF for us, but trading Jones for nothing isn't exactly going to help this offense.
  18. I don't care if it was a small school, he was their first pick and he's been bad. I think Tillman and Harris played better in their first years coming out of small schools. Harris was worse last year and Tillman was the exception and not the rule. I don't think it's an exception for draft picks taken around that area to be decent in their rookie years. Mike Brown was. And I think Manning has made far more mistakes than Harris, although it's purely subjective. Regardless, Harris isn't even thought that very highly of now. And there's nothing about Manning's game to suggest he's capable of being a very good starting safety next season. Mike Brown is the only one of the radar who can. So that being said, what positions would you guys like to see drafted next year?
  19. Well he better start acting like a leader and stop having the nights where he's 1/11 from the field. It definitely seems like he's beginning to become much more of a chucker this year. His shooting isn't the only thing that has concerned me. Sometimes he takes shots too soon (Deng does this too) and you have to question some of his turnovers. I wonder if he even looks where he passes sometimes.
  20. Hinrich frustrates me to no end.
  21. Holmgren just said that DJackson has a chance to play this upcoming Sunday against the Bears.
  22. I don't see how the Seahawks have a chance at pressuring Rex. Their front 4 hasn't been good all season. If they blitz, they're going to leave an already bad secondary exposed 1 on 1. The only thing that could help their defense is the weather. If the wind is as bad as forcast, it will hamper the passing games of both teams, and even then I like the Bears run offense vs Seattle. Seattle just doesn't match up well anywhere. They don't have that small, shifty slot reciever that gives the Bears trouble. Alexander doesn't have much of a burst right now. Hasselback gets rattled if you hit him a couple times. Jerramy Stevens is inconsistent, and won't have the Roy "I can't cover anyone" Williams defending the middle of the field. Barring an absolute disaster game from Rex, I don't see how we lose. And I don't think this is a team that can force a disaster game out of him. Bobby Inghram looks pretty slow out there against the Cowboys but isn't Branch considered a shiffty speedy receiver?
  23. Guys, IMO there is just no way any of us should expect a healthy Prior. He hasn't pitched in who knows how long and they found even more problems with his shoulder from before. Nobody knows what his status is and it already has been said they he won't be ready by ST. We just can't count on this guy period.
  24. Harris was acquired by the Devils Rays for a player to be named later or cash.
