  1. I don't know what kind of diet he was on but he looked like he gained more weight.
  2. Breaking ball looking real good from Wuertz.
  3. He's a tradition all right - just like losing is. The Cubs' curse of Ronnie Woo Woo.
  4. I would be really surprised he he didn't make the bullpen. I think with Wood injured(what else is new) and Cotts looking terrible, he deserves to make the team. I also think Lou likes him.
  5. I think thats Ronnie Woo Woo being annoying again in the background.
  6. Cherry throwing 95mph and his breaking stuff is nasty.
  7. This is what the guy from bleedcubbieclue.com had to say.Dosent look good for Prior. I'm here to tell you it's unhinged. Prior threw four innings, fifty-nine pitches (only a little more than half of them, thirty-two, were strikes). He walked two, hit a batter, was constantly behind hitters, gave up two hits and no runs to a team consisting of players who will wind up spending this year playing for Tennessee and Daytona (some names I recognized: Dopirak, Fontenot, Spears, Simokaitis). The outs were hit fairly hard, and it was just not very impressive. There weren't any scouts with radar guns -- just one of the Cubs' minor leaguers behind the plate with one. I was able to see it while Jason Marquis (who was the opposing pitcher; he went today in this game because the Cubs wanted Angel Guzman to face the White Sox) was on the mound; Marquis was consistently at 90. But while Prior was throwing, this player (who I couldn't identify; he was wearing warmups) hid the gun so no one but him could see it. It didn't matter. It was easy to see that Marquis' fastball was popping into the catcher's glove; Prior's wasn't. Prior seemed to be dropping down his arm again -- that's a sign of something wrong, even though he and everyone else denies it. Looks like another year of Prior and Wood starting the season on the DL.
  8. I just started watching this inning but most seemed low in the zone to me.
  9. Haugh makes a good point, I just hope that's how the Bears see it. They could view this as an opportunity to cut bait. But in reality, the sentencing is no real justification. It's not like he did another bad thing, even though it's another bad headline. Haugh also noted the Bears should go out and resign Scott: I'd much rather they resign Scott, then they can keep the tackle rotation as Harris, Dusty, Scott, Johnson and Idonije, and they don't have to use up a draft pick on this position. If there's a stud available with the first pick, that's fine. But I'd rather they go out and draft O lineman, DBs, a RB and possibly a WR or TE. And depending on Briggs' situation, a LB. I think Scott is pretty good and I definitely would like to see him resigned if the price is right.
  10. If Brown would come back for the league minimum, I'd have very little problem with it. Seeing as how the Bulls will likely be drafting a power forward or center with their pick, another year of tutelage for Tyrus and the new draftee could have a big impact in their development. Brown would be a better fifth or sixth big man option off the bench than guys like Malik Allen and the likely to be departing Michael Sweetney. I personally won't like to see him back. He would take extra minutes away from players whom are actually good. He isn't very good in this stage of his career and reminds of me of the second coming of Antonio Davis. I would rather see Malik Allen out there actually.
  11. Pagan has speed, so at the very least I can see him have some value as a base runner late in the game :)
  12. Utah. And...... Lakers.
  13. I want the impact bat. We haven't come up with one of them on our own forever.Agreed. It would be nice to see onr drafted for a change.
  14. They did but he decided to go back to school.
  15. I don't think Cotts should be guaranteed a spot IMO.
  16. I just placed an order for 6.25 and had an email within the minute.
