  2. Tom - Thanks for the list of BA players 31-40. I think you are missing one player as you only have 9 listed.
  3. How about sending Maples to Baltimore and allowing us to option Fenter to minors
  4. I assumed he was referring to LHP Wyatt Short.
  5. FYI - the Northwoods League actually started in 1994 so it has been around for quite some time. I remember watching Scherzer pitch in the league and thinking that he looks MUCH better than the other pitchers.
  6. Raisin - thanks in advance for your efforts on the minor league games. Even though the minors are not as strong as a few years ago, I still come here first to see how they are doing.
  7. Thanks Raisin. This is the first place I look on the website.
  8. How much competitive balance money do teams like the Pirates / Brewers receive?
  9. I believe that Guerra hurt his calf muscle in his first start and he did not do much after that. Even when the Brewers were begging for starters at the end of the year, Guerra did not start.
  10. I was also at the Beloit game Sunday (my first low A game in over 30 years). Certainly not much to talk about from an offensive standpoint. Wilson ran down a couple of nice balls in center. I wish they had a radar gun so we could have seen some pitch speeds.
  11. Jarred Kelenic, OF, West HS (Waukesha, WI) I live in Wisconsin and it is surprising to see a HS prospect listed this high. Was it UK that provided his name in the 2017 draft discussion?
  12. I agree Lefty. This is the first place I look on this website and I am also in my 50's. It is great to see that we have more help on the way.
  13. I tried to rank the prospects but my browser does not allow the drag and drop. I tried using Explorer, Edge and Firefox. Maybe I have a setting goofed up? thanks for any help. ddwyer
  14. And yet I find it interesting that Kellogg is a couple of months older than Almora. Almora has played in the majors and Kellogg has not played above low A ball yet.
  15. Raisin ... thanks for posting the scores all year. I am sure that I am in the minority but this is the first thread that i look at each day. I use the links to look at each box score.
  16. I assume Almora is hurt and I missed it. What happened and when will he be back?
  17. Pretty unusual to walk 11 batters and still win but Tennessee pulled it off.
  18. I have always thought that team A is sending money to team B and team B can use that money for any purpose. I don't have any specific reason why I thought this way so I could certainly be wrong. Looking at the trade for Haren, it appears that the Marlins are keeping some of the money from the Dodgers.
  19. Did we ever get a complete list of draft picks that signed?
  20. Looks like another good game for Underwood - 7 innings, 2 hits, 1 BB and 4 SO. Zagunis with single, double, walk and 3 RBI's. The guy just keeps hitting and taking walks.
  21. he could be derrick rose and i'll take the 5 win 24 year old OK ... I don't follow the bulls closely so what does derrick rose do that is stupid?
  22. With Edwin Jackson needing a change of scenery, I keep thinking about trading him for an expensive position player that may help us (another Milton Bradley for Carlos Silva trade). We can always throw some money into the trade to even out the salaries. I don't see the cubs taking on anything longer than a 2 year contract. My initial thoughts are an outfielder (I don't think that Rusney Castillo really fits Theo's theory for controlling the strike zone) or a catcher. It would be helpful if this person provided the veteran experience that may be desired for the clubhouse. Any ideas for players that may fit the bill?
  23. Lester Arrieta Hammel Hendricks Turner With Hammel not pitching that well with Oakland, I think his price is lower and he will want to work with Bosio again.
  24. So where does Caratini fall in our prospect list? Somewhere from 15 - 25?
  25. I just find it odd that Kansas City is on the list as they waived him earlier this year. Hopefully we can get a useful prospect.
