  2. Great quarter for the Bulls. Wade held scoreless after a skyhigh block by Thabo :D Miami is really bad.
  3. I want to see someone go haywire on Posey (preferably somebody who sucks)

  5. Roto is really the way to go. Roto rewards the best team all season and doesn't allow for flukes like H2H does.
  6. I'm hanging on to Deng and Gordon if I'm Paxson. Still lots of assets West might want. I'd hold out and call his bluff. If it doesn't happen before the deadline, could happen during the off-season -- after you find out where the Knicks' pick falls. That makes no sense. After this season, we don't have PJ's expiring contract to make the deals work easier. Then we're looking at giving up a valuable player asset instead of a contractual asset. We should have a good idea of where the Knick pick is in the next few weeks. Why hold out til season's end when we can't use PJ for a team to get some cap relief?
  7. Seriously? Hey they looked into the steroid thing. Duke wins at least two games a year because of terrible clock keeping, how does this happen we have replay to make sure this crap doesn't happen. By the way best avatar ever. No kidding... Congress can't fix real problems, might as well fix stuff like the gift they got last night. By the way, against Virginia Tech there was a similar clock situation (clock didn't start properly on an inbounds pass) and the refs stopped play and arguably took off too much time. Funny how they don't review a similar situation when it would hurt Duke. We've been waiting for you to make a pick for 12 hours now Truffle. Did you get a life or something?? ;)
  8. Why should there be trades allowed right now? Shouldn't all teams have to come up with the players they're going to keep before offering up deals to get under the dreaded 1800 point barrier? why shouldn't they be allowed? I don't have a problem with trades after the 1800 point crunch hits teams. The time to make deals was during the season.

  10. If you're looking for authentics, forget it, 50 bucks is nearly impossible. If you're willing to do replicas, you can probably get two for 70 with tax at finishline right now. They always reduce them half price (plus, IIRC, they are running a buy one get one half price promo) and their website always includes a 10 dollar off over 60 dollar coupon.
  11. Mike North is an idiot. He has no understanding how the NBA works.
  12. I would rather trade Gordon than Deng. I think Deng is just a more special player, with a brighter future. I would offer this.... Nocioni, Thomas, Knicks Pick, PJ for Gasol and Warrick. If they want more, I walk away and go with what we've got for now. I like Mark's trade. Don't get me wrong, I really like Deng as well. But we have much more depth at the 3 with Nocioni and Thomas to fill in if Deng is traded for Pau. I would more than likely go ahead and pull the trigger on that deal. I just think Deng is too special to include in a deal for Gasol. He is only 21 years old and is averaging 18 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He is long and is a much better defender than Gordon too. Regardless of who is behind them, you don't move Luol Deng as part of a package for Gasol. Gordon averages 3 more points per game than Deng, but he doesn't do all the other things Luol does, and he is much closer to a finished product than Deng. I like them both, but if the Bulls had to trade one of them, I would move Gordon. Part of the problem though is the Bulls don't have an adequate replacement for Gordon at this point. Thabo, in time, could be that player, but if you're dealing for Gasol this year, this is a WIN NOW move and getting a guy back like Warrick would be a very good hybrid backup like Tyrus at the 3/4. Here's how I'd look at it: Gordon and Nocioni > Deng and Thabo. We'd have one outside shooter on the roster, and that'd be Kirk.
  13. I'm hanging on to Deng and Gordon if I'm Paxson. Still lots of assets West might want. I'd hold out and call his bluff. If it doesn't happen before the deadline, could happen during the off-season -- after you find out where the Knicks' pick falls. See, I see this as a great opportunity to grab the lead in the East while it is at its weakest. I would agree to hold out to see if you can sub in Nocioni for Deng (would be a huge coup for Pax if he could keep the big three, but I really doubt he's able to do it). What would Bulls fans rather see dealt: Tyrus or the swap? Note that the pick this year, even top 10 will still be an excellent player with very high upside (aka, no great seniors this year) who will be a year further from FA AND cheaper (as long as the player is below number 2, which if its two, well, we've struck gold)
  14. To Bulls fans: I've seen in the last couple days about trades concerning Gasol and the Bulls giving up Ben Gordon... This would seem counter productive to me as much as I like Thabo, is he really ready to play 35 minutes @ the 2? I don't really think so. Would you deal: Luol Deng PJ Brown Malik Allen Knick pick (if Memphis demands it...) for Pau Gasol Hakim Warrick Warrick essentially becomes the 7th man as another hybrid 3/4 like Tyrus which could be a valuable chip down the road. We'd then turn our efforts to re-signing Nocioni to a reasonable deal before he'd go on the RFA market where he could price himself out of the Bulls range while also attempting to retain Gordon the following season. I'm a HUGE Deng fan, but this would put us in a primo spot to win the East... Looking for everyone else's thoughts on this...
  15. 1-1) Albert Pujols 1-2) Jose Reyes 1-3) Johan Santana 1-4) Alfonso Soriano 1-5) Alex Rodriguez 1-6) Carlos Beltran 1-7) Ryan Howard 1-8) Miguel Cabrera 1-9) Carl Crawford 1-10) Chase Utley 1-11) Derrek Lee 1-12) Chris Carpenter 2-1) David Wright 2-2) Lance Berkman 2-3) Grady Sizemore 2-4) David Ortiz 2-5) Vladimir Guerrero 2-6) Manny Ramirez 2-7) Mark Teixeira 2-8) Travis Hafner 2-9) Derek Jeter 2-10) Carlos Lee 2-11) Matt Holliday 2-12) Carlos Zambrano 3-1) Jake Peavy 3-2) Aramis Ramirez 3-3) Justin Morneau 3-4) Joe Mauer 3-5) Paul Konerko 3-6) Miguel Tejada 3-7) Jason Bay 3-8) Hanley Ramirez 3-9) Jimmy Rollins 3-10) Roy Halladay 3-11) Brandon Webb 3-12) Dan Haren 4-1) Garrett Atkins 4-2) Ichiro 4-3) Vernon Wells 4-4) Brian McCann 4-5) Roy Oswalt 4-6) Felix Hernandez (don't let me down big man)
  16. This draft is going very smoothly right now. Props to everyone for picking in a timely manner and helping us short term with our fantasy baseball fix.
  17. I've checked Yahoo everyday for when fantasy baseball starts for the last week. 21 days till spring training. PS, can we turn this into a keeper league? When does it start? I love tearing through their rankings. I agree, we should turn this into a keeper league. Did we ever decide on how many bench spots we would have? Also, I know that we are "competing" against each other in the mock draft, but I would like people to make comments about their picks. Doesnt have to be now as they are making them, but maybe later in the rounds or after the draft, just to get insight as to what they were thinking. For me, it has all been about BPA as I feel I have drafted talent at spots lower than I would have pegged them. I feel very good about the team I have assembled thus far.
  18. I hope so. Marion, Nash, and Dirk would be three very nice keepers! :D Your team is so freaking hard to beat. I ran the averages, I win in 3 categories and you destroy me in most of them. I need a few "shakeup" trades. IMB has one on the table...
  19. Can we please start Tyrus so he can be a useful cog for the playoffs? He can't be any worse than PJ Brown.
  20. Was the other guy Vlad? Sure was. Couldn't believe either of these guys had lasted this long :D Manny was the guy I wanted if both were there. 1-1) Albert Pujols 1-2) Jose Reyes 1-3) Johan Santana 1-4) Alfonso Soriano 1-5) Alex Rodriguez 1-6) Carlos Beltran 1-7) Ryan Howard 1-8) Miguel Cabrera 1-9) Carl Crawford 1-10) Chase Utley 1-11) Derrek Lee 1-12) Chris Carpenter 2-1) David Wright 2-2) Lance Berkman 2-3) Grady Sizemore 2-4) David Ortiz 2-5) Vladimir Guerrero 2-6) Manny Ramirez
  21. Manny Ramirez- OF Boston Red Sox
  22. Man, I really can't lose with my next pick. Can't believe two guys are still there... Hopefully Wolfie takes one of them so I don't have to fight with myself who to take :D
  23. Cool. Now why would the Bears grant the cowboys permission? They would be stupid to. Lovie and Angelos are on the same page when it comes to talent. Jones is a freaking moran when it comes to talent. It would depend on whether or not the Bears are going to offer a lucrative extension for Lovie, or if they feel they could get a nice compensation package for allowing him to go to Dallas. If Lovie doesn't get his contract extension, he's a lame duck coach next year, and that hardly ever goes well...
  24. Skiles is the man.
