  2. Jimmy Williams was also a first class ass for bumping the ref (intentionally) and then crying like a little girl on the sideline. I was seriously rooting for Louisville to win...
  3. Game was today, and its interesting to see how the comments (about Oregon in leiu of ND) played out in the end. Also fun to see if projections were met.
  4. I was there and can indeed CONFIRM that the Bulls suck.
  5. Then avoid saying silly things like this: I agree that the Pierce situation is pretty bad, but your initial statement is ludicrous.
  6. Tremendous game today. The Irish got taken to school and made to look like fools on D though. Entertaining game, but just showed how far they have to go to beat that kind of ridiculous offense. I'm shocked Tressel grew half a brain and realized how good Teddy Ginn is. Awesome performance by THE Number Seven.
  7. That's Thom Brenneman. And he's horrible with football.
  8. It should be duly noted that the last statement of the first post in this thread read as follows: So the "no" is justified and reasons why can be elaborated on as well.
  9. The Cubs aren't at all to blame for making Sammy the way he is? For putting him on a pedestal and allowing him to become the megastar that he became? Believe what you wanna believe.
  10. Hunter Cantwell is one tough SOB for Louisville.
  11. That Gator Bowl sounds fun.
  12. Is it ok to not like Steve Alford for allowing a man convicted of rape to continue to play? This is a legitimate question. And I liked Sammy when he was here, but he hurt nobody but himself with his actions in his latter years. My "sympathy meter" isn't bleeding for him. the alford/pierce incident is totally different. rape and being perceived as lacking moral character are 2 different things. i wasn't asking you to have sympathy for sammy. if he committed a heineous crime, i wouldn't want him on the team. he did nothing more than ruin some casual fan's dream of the altruistic superstar and the perfect clubhouse atmosphere. why should i care about that? what i care about is the production he gave the cubs in the middle of the order. It also depends on whether you believe Sammy hit his wife with that bottle many years ago. And Sammy's production was fantastic. For that I'm grateful, but again, he has nobody to blame but himself for his perceived image.

  14. LSU played an awesome game. Kicked Miami's ass. Shocked they played so well without Jamarcus Russell. Also shocked that Miami played that poorly. Sadly, what was supposed to be the marquee non bcs game turned out to be such a dud.
  15. No doubt Rais, but only if Jim Tressel wasn't such a dolt in using him. Seriously, he has Reggie Bush-like talent, but Tressel just does not utilize him (or Santonio Holmes for that matter) enough in the passing game.
  16. for certain mr. raisin.
  17. There was a little thing called the NFL today. Perhaps you missed it ;) They don't want to go against each other and steal ratings. That's why there weren't any college bowl games on NYE after like 4:00 finishing time. Then there was the Broncos/Chargers. More revenue overall for the sport if you aren't competing for the airtime.
  18. Post thoughts, concerns, predictions, amounts Jim Tressel is paying his players in this thread. I've got the final being: Buckeyes 27 Irish 17
  19. Adam Dunn 2004: 0 Sacrifice Flies. Creepy.
  20. Why not Hinrich? He'd been hot all quarter. Pargo is never a good option down the stretch. I don't get to watch a lot of Suns games, but man is that team impressive. Steve Nash is absolutely amazing. When Amare comes back, holy cow. They're as good as last season with Diaw, Jones, House, and Bell taking the spots occupied by QRich and Joe Johnson. And I love the addition of Kurt Thomas down low. They need a dirty work kind of player. They might be able to knock off the equally as loaded Spurs...
  21. Not at the Rose Bowl. The BCS banned any celebs from either team's sideline, apparently pissing off Snoop and Harry Winkler. http://www.fiftiesweb.com/fashion/fonzie.jpg
  22. Vance, I agree with you 100%. I think the thing that will keep him out is not winning an MVP award. And like I posted before, him not winning in 1995 was a farce. His numbers for the 90's were just sickeningly good.
