New sod is usually a bit of a problem. But there are 10 days before any potential game on that field, it should be in good shape by then. Football teams sometimes resod midweek, and there's a lot more starting and stopping in that sport. Odds are you'll see some clumps come up here and there, and it will be noticeable for the TV cameras, but given the time frame, a quality grounds crew should be able to make it playable and relatively safe. 5 days if there were a 1-game playoff. Not saying there will be, but... ...watch your mouth!

Agreed. Start Hill Thursday, Zambrano Friday. Regardless of what happens tonight, this is what I'd like to see. I have to believe this is what Lou is considering. That sounds about right. You can always start Traschel Saturday, who could do well in a powerless (sans Dunn/Girff) Reds lineup. Or take a gamble and start Hart who Lou loves. Whatever the case it's going to be a nervous 5 games. Whew! Nah, it's gonna be fun. :) Dude, I really hope so. I have no doubt we will make it. We're gonna bang up this Marlins pitcher tonight.

He threw his bat halfway to 1st base. Honestly, I was hoping ARam wasn't going to be playing with a suspension. That ump was total crap with the 1-foot off the plate calls, but ARam's got to think about the big picture. He was playing with fire there. Edit: another thing I didn't like is, it looked to me with DeRo and Aram flipping out, that it was obvious the Cubs were pressing. That's not good, not good at all if it's true. You can't be pressing with a 3 game lead -- just go out and play your game. If they start pushing, looking over their shoulder, freaking out -- the Crew really will catch us. A bad ump in a critical 9th inning will usually cause a player to press. I'm not worried about it.

Sarcasm? High strikeouts means alot of pitches. Thus high pitch counts and walks. Take a look at how our pitchers have done in the walk department and then you will see why I am not excited about leading the league in strikeouts. Ken -
