  1. It sure looked like it. I'm sure we'll see some replays after the break.
  2. Burnitz AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS 07/05 - 07/08 14 2 5 1 0 1 9 3 2 1 0.357 0.438 0.643 1.080 Yeah, but Burnitz has been terrible in his career against Leiter.
  3. And again, what the hell was he swinging at on strike three?
  4. Whoa. What the hell was Holly swinging at there!?
  5. Well.... you did see Mitre's shutout of these Marlins last month, no? Heh, yeah, but then saw Maddux the next day. I saw Zambrano earlier in the year in St. Louis, but most of the Cubs games I see on TV, Maddux is pitching. It's all about perspective, Mizzou. Think of it this way.... you never had to watch Bob Buhl, Cal Koonce, or Ernie Broglio pitch, eh? Oh I'm not complaining. Wait, yeah I guess I kind of am. I don't mind seeing Maddux pitch, it's not too often that a player like him is around, but I'd just like to catch a Prior start or a Wood start here and there.

  7. Beggers can't be choosers, but it seems like every Cubs game that I'm able to watch, Maddux is pitching.
  8. Not trades, but I picked up both Kenny Rogers and Jon Garland early in the year off of waivers.
  9. How many pitches is Kerry up to?
  10. Is he on a count? Ya know, I'm really not sure.
  11. Wow, only 24 pitches through 2 for Kerry.
  12. I keep getting this message every time I click on a thread title after I search for something: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: phpbb_rtrim() in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/northsidebaseball.com/httpdocs/Forum/viewtopic.php on line 512 Edit: Ya know, there seems to be another problem. I just did a search for "Pierre" and there were some threads that didn't mention his name once. Also, in the threads that did mention his name, it wasn't orange like it used to be.
  13. Maybe next time the tv info could at least happen. And the starting pitchers. Some of us DO care. Nothing personal roast, but if you're not going to put the necessary info in the game thread, then let someone else start it.
  14. Using universal logic then, Murton should start when Olsen does. Corey started against Smoltz cause he was 0-4 in his career, so let's see if Dusty starts Murton as well. Does Murton have a nickname? If not, we need to give him one. EDIT: Thanks for posting that.
  15. as far as i know, you are correct. leiter will start in beckett's place on sunday. Olsen, eh? I guess we'll have to wait until after the break to see how much time the rookies are really going to get. Greenberg and Murton have faced Olsen already this season... Really, how'd they do?
  16. The Marlins have a lefty on the mound. If that were not the case I doubt you'd see either Murton or Cedeno. I disagree. I think last night's moves were a sign that Hendry is taking charge of this team and wont allow Dusty to run it into the ground anymore. And if Dusty doesn't comply, then he'll be gone. Just my theory.
  17. It is, but I don't have a problem with it. He isn't hitting anywhere else, and with the Cubs already having to shuffle the lineup due to Lee's injury and Corey being sent down, I don't have any problem with it at all. Hopefully he can break out tonight.
  18. Wow, Murton AND Cedeno in the same lineup? Yep, Hendry definitely put his foot down last night.
