    Was sweetemotion really banned? That's a bit extreme, IMO. What if he really DID have a source that told him this? It's not really my place to comment on who to allow, but I'm going to comment anyways. To ban a poster for being wrong about a trade is pretty silly. Now with that said... Hendry wouldn't do Hill for Dunn straight up? If Hill is THAT good in his eyes, then he should have been in the starting rotation rather than Williams.

    I don't know if you guys discussed this earlier in the game, but... did anyone wonder why Gerut is leading off? I mean, since the beginning of 2004 he's led off a whole two times. All of a sudden he's leading off for the Cubs?

    Something to consider... Tomorrow is a day game, a lefty will be starting, and we have a big series coming up this weekend. Today is really a great time to give Hairston a rest.

    I'm sure he'll do fine in center. But why bench Hairston and move the outfield around rather than just giving Burny the night off? Or why not just sit Hollandsworth? Man Dusty is stupid.

    Pretty cool. I didn't know he still lives in Lombard. I haven't taken the time to read much of it, but from the few paragraphs that I have read, it's obvious that Gerut is a very intelligent person. Hopefully that rubs off on Dusty a little bit. :)

    Just so you know that gesture was directed at some people that I won't insult the Cubs by calling them fans who were making some very insulting comments about Isabella, Pujols adopted daughter who has Down's syndrome. I never heard that, not even from the guy I work with who's related to Albert. Where did you hear that?

    Man I hate to see Blanco and Neifi in the same lineup. Lee needs to top off yesterday's performance... how about 3 homers tonight?

    Which is why it also doesn't make sense to me as a precursor to another trade. Gerut isn't anything special. Maybe not in your eyes he's not. But for all we know, another GM could think VERY highly of him.

    I'm not a fan at this point...I'll reserve judgment for now, but the numbers don't look good... Agreed. At first look, he looks like he's a pretty average player that doesn't do anything exceptionally well. Hopefully he's part of a bigger plan.
