    I would absolutely love to be proven wrong here, but I just don't see Corey as the type of guy that would do it. As much as I hate to compare him to this guy, he really reminds me of Dusty in that he's so damn stubborn.

    Tipping at a fast food restaurant? That's a joke, right? Does anyone really do that? And if you do, then naturally I'll assume that you slip the fry guy at McDonald's an extra buck for each visit.

    Neifi usually doesn't see 9 pitches per GAME, let alone in one at bat.

    So I'm assuming that Barrett denied your request for an autograph or something? I don't understand the hate for him. He's one of the best catchers, overall, in the league. I would never ask Barrett for an autograph, let alone pay for 1. THe guy is just oblivious out there and as I said another player that the Cubs have that really doesn't seem to have any kind of Baseball instincts. To put it politely, he doesn't apper to be thinking out there. hendry has to flush out the players that just don't seem to understand what is going on out there and Barrett is one. So what do you suggest that we do with the catcher position? I mean, if Barrett is such a stupid player with no instincts and supposedly doesn't know how to talk, then what other GM would want him? And who do you say the Cubs should go after to replace him? You can't just say "this guy sucks let's dump him" and not have part B to the plan. So let's hear it.

    Why do people assume that Sammy was on steroids? Because he's strong? Yeah, that makes sense. :roll: Couldn't be a great workout program or anything like that. It MUST be steroids. And yes, his number should absolutely be retired.

    Sammy was much much MUCH more valuable to this franchise than Ryno ever was.

    You will never see that happen. What, Sammy's number being retired? There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that it will happen. And it should.

    Who are you rooting for? Personally, I'm rooting for Cleveland all the way, but if I had to pick two teams, the second one would definitely be Oakland. Go Tribe!

    Dubois will be a career minor leaguer, nothing else. Regardless of what you think of his potential, the fact is that Hendry essentially acquired Matt Lawton - a guy who was having a very good year before coming to Chicago - for Dubois. If I would have told you at the beginning of the year, or even during Dubois's worst stretch, that all we could get for him would be a low level pitching prospect from the Yankees, you would have laughed at me.

    So we traded Jason Dubois.................. for a Yankee prospect? Youch. As for trading Walker, that would be one of the dumbest moves yet. The Cubs have an option on him for what, 2.5 million next season? Unless they come away with a PHENOMENAL trade, then Walker shouldn't go anywhere. Burnitz, sure, dump him. His option is a bit high if I recall, so I don't see him fitting in next year. Might as well get something for him.
