The reports I've seen haven't mentioned any minor leagures at all. Same here. It appears the deal is Maddux + 2 million for Izturis. Amazing. Goodness gracious. All I need to hear is a Baker extension.... Push me Jim. I swear to God that I'm done with the Cubs if that happens.

Good luck, Todd. I'm not surprised that we didn't get anything for him. Walker had zero trade value for whatever reason. -
C'mon, Hendry! Of course, there was some indication last week that Maddux wasn't eager to return to the Braves. I'll be suprised if he gets much booty. He manages his calories about as effectively as he does the Cubs. hee I think we can safely assume that the "Cubs are willing to keep him" is a line of garbage designed to drive the price up. For once, Hendry is doing the right thing from a PR standpoint and holding on to Maddux until he is certain he recieved the best offer. I definitely agree. Greg's motion to the crowd after he left the game on Saturday told me that he had told Hendry to go ahead and trade him.

I know that Weaver was horrible in his first start with the Cards, but does anyone know how he did in his other start(s) with them? I'm too lazy to look it up.

Prediction: Hill gives up 6 runs and departs in the 3rd inning. Novoa comes in and gives up a grand slam that same inning.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not, but I'm excited about this series. I don't care how crappy the Cubs are, a Cubs Cards series always gets the adrenaline going for me.

Well, there is one positive in this. Dusty staying means more losses than if he were canned. So we'll at least get a better draft pick.
