  1. Man, if that was true, my money's on Hawaii.
  2. O_O and Truffle, the way Hawaii's defense been playing, I'd say it's harmless.
  3. And the kicker makes the very important PAT.
  4. Touchdown.
  5. They're undefeated. This game has been the story of most of their season. They struggle, but when the pressure is on, they deal with it well and they get the win. Looks like the same thing is happening tonight. well, they talk like hawaii is beating a good team tonight or last week. fine, they are what they are, but the slobbering is ridiculous. Well, let me be some assistance to you. There is a word "MUTE" on your remote control. There is no law that forbids you to press it.
  6. To be down 21-0 by a BCS team to get 28-28, they deserve the credit. It's just like, IMHO, Boise St. last year. On paper, they may not have a chance against a certain team, but that's why we play the games. What? You get credit for getting way behind a bad team and coming back? ok. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that Hawaii is a undefeated team, and they are making the plays under pressure.

  8. Man, if he didn't stumble, he might had a chance, since there was a seam right there.
  9. Jeez, Glanville looks different than I thought he used to be. My favorate Glanville quote: "This is the NFL, which stands for "Not For Long" when your making those (bleep) calls, I'll be at home, selling groceries."
  10. Probably not. BC lost and most of the teams below them were either idle or lost. If Hawaii wins tonight, they get an automatic berth. Yikes. They'll probably be in the Sugar, right? I seem to remember someone saying that. That's the most likely scenerio if they win tonight.
  11. And there's the Touchdown!
  12. And he shanked it.
  13. Huge 4th down and they got it.
  14. And Hawaii just scored.... Oh, incomplete...
  15. I think the biggest difficulty there is that the conferences would throw a fit since that would basically cause teams to disregard winning their conferences in favor of trying to get ranked in the Top 16. Granted, I'd imagine the vast majority of conference champions would be ranked in the Top 16, but there's still the possibility that it might cause a conference champion to miss out. If you have a playoff system, more people will become interested in what happens. Cracks me up that 1-AA has no trouble with having playoff's, but the big guys have to have their 6 win teams in a bowl game. *shaking head in pity* I think it's that simple. Win your conference, you're pretty much in. I think that 12 of the 16 would be conference winners, and the remaining 4 are whoever are the highest BCS ranked that did not win their conference. I also would believe they would make a ton more money with a playoff system because the TV rights would be HUGE for this. It would dwarf what they currently have now.
  16. Or, we can do it this way. 1 Non-Conferece game Play out your 8 conference games Play out your conference championship game, and the other conferences that does not have a conference championhip game, play a non-conference team. Then the top 16 teams on the BCS rankings get in the playoffs, which would mean 4 games in the 16 bracket playoff format to decide the NC, regardless of which conference you are in.
  17. So, if that was in place this year, then Navy, Central Florida, Central Michigan, BYU and Florida Atlantic deserve bids over Georgia, Arizona State, Tennessee, Kansas and Missouri? And, for the hell of it, they deserve bids over Boston College, Illinois, and Clemson also? Well, it's just that simple. Win your conference, or go home. *shrug* FWIW, those teams that didn't win their conferences, yet they put up good records, they can play in the lower-teir bowls.
  18. IMHO, the NCAA Division I needs to have a playoff format. Here's my opinion on how it should work. Play 2 Non Conference games in the beginning 8 Conference games 1 Conference Championship game for the conferences that does have them 3 playoff games to win NC I think the bigger issue is how we can try to get all the D-I conferences into the playoff format? I know there are 11 conferences, and the independents. So if we were to make the independents as a conference, that would be 12 total. So 12 total conferences, would mean 4 playoff game, me thinks, with the number 1 to 4 ranking getting the bye in the first round. And for the conference championship, I would leave that up to the conferences. Some perfer the championship game, some don't. Once the conference champions are decided, throw in their BCS rankings as their determination of slotting.
  19. Zing! Touchdown, Hawaii.
  20. Event a 13-7, losing Pat White is significant, IMHO.
  21. Dude is such a beast. I'm telling you, what you saw on that play is the norm when it comes to trying to tackle him. I'd be very shocked if Rucker doesn't get in the first round, especially for a team that needs a TE. I believe he's the best TE in the game.
  22. 294/385/425 123OPS+ 1571 runs, 170 HR, 808 SB, 430 2B Almost hit for average, with a solid OBP and the OPS. I remember being a kid, that he somewhat annoyed me becuase he was pretty good getting on base.
  23. Bummer to hear. He has good stuff and is very talented. Just a shame that the injuries are de-railing his career.
  24. What's Raines career line?
  25. Sure, but it's always nice to have a insurance policy if (God forbid) something happens to Marmol, or that Marmol is comfortable being the set-up guy and Wood being the closer. Or the other way around. Either way, that, on paper, looks very good.
